I understand your concern for orginality. I enjoy personalizing my cars and having fun with them. Nothing was done that can't be undone to make it 100% original. I love it the way it is and anxiously look forward to another drive......
@2stroketurbo For one more time, (i saw all the videos of your car),i must say that you made a really good restoration. I really appreciate that you fix many issues at your own, this is very good. I am not 100% negative with your project, i want to make this clear to you. Also, as you said this is true, nothing can't be undone, this is good! :)
The owners of these cars must respect the ''personality'' of their cars. I am sure that you maybe your are the only owner of DKW at your state!!!
A nostalgic ride! My dad bought a new DKW F102 in New Zealand, mid-60's and by that time, the 3-cyl 2-T engine of 1200cc was state of the art. 75-80mph cruising was well within its comfort zone, with superb brakes and suspension to match. Up to about 55mph it could out-perform 6-cyl 4T cars of double its capacity, but then it levelled out a bit. Dad kept it for 5 years and did 55000 miles trouble-free. It wouldn't have been a good tow car, so he got a Wolseley 6-110 to replace it.
You know, you really can't speed shift.!!!.....haha...the hardest part actually is switching to driving my other car, which is a domestic, a more standand " three on the tree". The pattern is way different and my mind forgets which car I'm in...

PatrolmanDark, my clutch pedal squeaks when I depress it. It does sound like a duck quack ! I need to grease it. I'm so excited to drive the car I keep forgeting to take care of it.
Your job is great. Really!
but...
I don't believe that you drive that car without front and rear bumbers.
What kind of exaust is that? Did you ever see double exaust at DKW?
What about the colour? What can i say about that yellow and some red at the lights? ???
What kind of covers are at the doors with the dollars???
Why you are pushing so hard the engine to run fast? The car was cold!
This car must be original 100%. This car request respect I am very sad seeing that video....

The car sounds great but the dollar bills on the roof and insides just looks so silly.

Hum, I know Oregon passed a law about Cell Phones - you better beware they might pass one that says " No Videoing while Driving" :)
I love that sound - reminds me of riding Eric's old Water Buffalo Suzuki 750 triple.

Yes, but if everyone videoed while driving ...we'd know for sure who's fault the crash was.

That was a fun ride, thanks for taking us along! What is that quack-like noise with each shift?

congrats on your road test! The car looks and sounds great!
You really need to add a bike helmet, some duct tape, and a wide angle lens to that camera!
