Sure Dave can play guitar, sing, and write songs kinda alright, but that dude is a beast on the drums. Not only that, what stands out is how he dont just reach into his bag of beats, he creates hooks in a song, and completely composes his drum parts to add another element to the song that you can listen too, not just some backbeat you tap your toe too. No need for triggers to make the drums sound bigger, there big cuz he plays and hits realy frigg'n hard. Kinda reminds me of Kieth Moon.

I'm not bashing The Pixies, even Cobain was a fan, but The pixies entire catalog has only sold about 1.5 mil copies compared to over 30 mil from nevermind alone. Only 25 albums ever made, sold more. I dont know what it takes to be considered a legend, I guess the only way to be considered a legend is for you to like them. Nirvana made a bad copy of the Pixies, that's just a fact, just read the declaration of Cobain on his writing of Smells Like Teen Spirit.
