fantastic. I saw Nash and Crosby sing this on Firedoglake. It apparently was performed at an Obama rally after the debate at Hofstra. I was so taken by the song that I googled it and found you. Great song. I miss the America of my youth. And that one, in my opinion, could be better. Take our country back! Knock on doors, phone bank, donate. Leave nothing on the road.

are you 19, a college sophomore and enraged? there is almost no speck of land on earth that was not lived on by its own first people and invaded by others. what happened to the indians (and they refer to themselves as indians now, not natives, so unless you want to seem ethnist or out of touch, use the right vocabulary) is awful. i have huge issues with it, but nobody alive today had any choice in it and, unless you're living in antarctica or are an indigenous person you're part of the problem

true that. but this is a naive statement. it is a beautiful and innocent observation. study history and you will find conquest knows no single culture, race, or religion.

american indians engaged in conquest themselves. but brutality, thoughtlessness and cruelty must be resisted. we must oppose what is wrong, and do what is right. it is a beautiful world if we share it with each other in love, kindness, and gentleness.
