  • I am a huge diesel nut. I have owned a cummins, and duramax, and finally a powerstroke. The 6.0L powerstroke got a bad rep. Yeah it has some issues that need addressed like head studs, coolant filtration, and an egr delete. After you have done those these motors are essentially bullet proof. I will argue this till I die..... If you want to tow buy a cummins, if you want to show off and go fast buy a duramax, but if you want a work truck go with a powerstroke.

  • It almost sounds like twin turbo 7.3 with the deep diesel sound it has!

  • Is that an f250 or f150

  • @fabian8o5 F350. F150's aren't diesel.

  • what wheels are those?

  • @CnRDirt 22" Foose Spanks on 37" Toyo Open Country M/Ts

  • how you get that turbo to whistle like that?!?! nice..

  • @causse Straight pipe and tuner. The 6.0's whistle like crazy, especially the late 03's before they changed the turbo because it was whistling too loud (not possible lol)

  • Love the way they sound but these motors are dog shit

  • @TheWickedMetal With ARP studs and EGR delete they are great.

  • @TheWickedMetal they were, coming right out of the factory. if you change the head studs, head gaskets, delete the EGR, and do a few other things, theyll go for well over 150k miles

  • Nice truck ,check my f350 vs garbage truck. It's listed as lees kingranch.I got the same setup without a tuner

  • Im thinkin about the mbrp 5" exhaust, but what do u have the rumble made me jizz. Please get back to me

  • @Skindawg94 5" is a waste unless you're putting down 500+ whp. I just have a 4" pipe from the turbo back with a tip on the end. No muffler, cat, resonators, etc. Helluva lot cheaper than MBRP.

  • thanks for the input sct makes it wild

  • @MaineSucks Thank you for the info. Im pretty new when it comes to the diesel world. Im definatly switching to sct. im not completely satisfied with bullydog anymore. will that tune hurt my transmission at all. i dont have gauges

  • @6whysoserious Tough to say... the shift points are modified and you are putting a ton of power down which means more strain on the tranny. The tranny is solid, but IMO something will go eventually. I've been running my race mode 24/7 pretty much since I got the chip two years ago and I have a heavy foot and my tranny is still solid (knock on wood). When you get past the standard programmer/exhaust/intake is when tranny issues pop up. You should really think about gauges, though... at a min

  • ... at a minimum Boost and EGT. Its always good to know if something is fucked up and you are about to melt your motor down. If you can't afford the gauges you should reconsider running an advanced program.

  • @MaineSucks ..... I have know of the bully dog system to fuck up head studs on a 6.0. Me and a few buddies run the SCT. We all love it.

  • @MrFirefighter033 The head gasket/stud problem is all luck... I blew my head gasket with stock studs with an SCT tune and I know countless others that have too.... hell my buddy stretched two sets of ARP studs with a Looney Tuned SCT. For most 6.0's running tunes its only a matter of time. My truck made it just over a year on a tune before I blew my gasket and had to do ARP studs.

  • @MaineSucks

do you like sct. i have a bullydog triple dog outlook for my 05 powerstroke and even on extreme i cant get her to smoke. the power increase is noticable but thats it. i was thinking about switching

  • @6whysoserious Best tuner for the 6.0 for sure. get a custom tune from a good tuning company (I used doug a Direct Injection Performance / GoGoDiesel). Truck hauls ass.

  • Did you do the EGR Delete?

  • @caterpillarV8 Yeah, the EGR is blocked off

  • wait....do i see a lambo door in the background?

  • @Dieselfreek26 nope, I wish

  • Did you do a resonator deleate on it?

  • i like how the turbo sounds like a jet at the end lol, nice truck

  • i have a cj 7 that is identical to the one in the background where are you from ?

  • @MrStrokerace69 Broward County, FL

  • wat would be better a sct or a mach 7 for a 6.0 cause i just got mine an i am debatin wat i want

  • what HP level tunes did you start to get a good amount of smoke? I have a spartan Phalanx console headed my way with 65 90 and 120 HP tunes

  • Dope truck so niceeee

  • Great sound!

  • How has your 6.0 been reliability wise for you? Im looking at a used 2004.

  • @TheeeDoctorrr I have been pretty lucky in terms of reliability. The first thing I did was purchase the extended powerstroke warranty which has paid for itself already. I've lost a couple of injectors and I lost my high pressure oil pump a few weeks ago. All covered under warranty. No head issues, though and I drive the hell out of this thing and have towed some mud rigs on long highway trips. Knock on wood. My EGT's don't get too high when towing.

  • @MaineSucks Thanks for the quick response man. Great looking truck btw

  • would you recommend sct over a banks six gun? im running one now in my 05 and am a lil gunshy

  • The only thing you are getting with Banks is an expensive name. There are far better tuners out there. SCT is the shit. The stock tunes are okay, but find a good diesel tuner that makes custom SCT tunes and you're golden.

  • @dirttrack12 go to dp-tuner.com they have great tunes for the sct for 6.0's that wouln't blow anything. and checkout powerstrokehelp on here, they have a lot of great information on the 6.0.

  • @Heitz05 Well... you can still blow shit with a mild tune. Lots of 6.0's need work stock, so adding boost and higher EGT's to an already questionable motor is like playing with fire. I pulled the OASIS report on this truck and between me and the previous owner there has been close to $30k in repair work done to the motor. EGR delete and ARP studs have made this truck very solid, though.... kinda pissed I waited so long to do it.

  • are these better than cummins?

  • Not getting into that argument, lol. To each their own.

  • how wide are the tires and rims

  • Sick truck man! Love the turbo sound!!

  • turbocharger on an diesel?

  • @24Slexani they alll have them

  • What tires and rims is it sitting on and how much lift is that?

  • 6" Superlift and ladder bars.... 22" Foose Spanks wrapped with 37" Toyo Open Country MT's

  • Beauty truck man! Please don't wreck it with stacks, just say no to em lol

  • I think I just came.....Sweet ass truck man!

  • this is my FAVORITE truck on youtube :) great video!! please please please tell me how u tuned it..did u just get parts from SCT?? which parts did u put on it? thanks

  • Wow thanks a lot. My service writer put me in touch with a local diesel tuner who did all custom programs. I have tow, street, and race. I pretty much keep it in race all the time. Max boost is right around 30psi. Don't feel comfortable going higher than that without more mods.

  • You have any problems with the EGR, or head bolts lifting? I have an 06 & am thinking about getting a SCT for gas mileage.

  • No I havent, but I've been pretty lucky. I convinced myself the SCT was for mileage, too... until I got it. My mileage has gone up but not as much as I had hoped... I seem to hit the gas a bit harder now that I have the extra power

  • stacks sound so much better

  • I agree, but I think your truck has to be sitting on 12+" of lift to rock stacks. So... some day, lol

  • Sounds good, Looks good, Nice truck!!

  • wooow dude, thats gnarly truck... good job on it

  • thats a mans truck there brother!!!

  • Thanks bro!

  • im lookin to make my truck smoke like that. what did you do?

  • Turbo back straight pipe and an SCT programmer programmed by a local diesel tuner. This is on race mode.

  • i love that lift and wheel setup brah.

  • Thanks man... 6" Superlift with 37" Toyo open country MT's. Rims are 22" Foose.

  • Real nice sound man Good lookin all around truck. Keep it Clean!!

  • Sounded kinda like a jet engine when you shut it down...

  • Sweet truck man

  • Nice truck man! I am looking to buy a truck like this one. Thumbs up.

  • sweet truck

  • nice truck

  • badass 6.0L man...thinking of getting one in the near future, what kind of MPG do you get if your not hammer down?

  • I'll let you know... I just took it out of race mode and put it to street. My speedo also isn't calculated for the 37's, either. Once everything gets adjusted I should have an idea.

  • 4'' or 5'' exhaust or is it a stock straight piped?
