Old KITT rules. You have to consider the technology of those years. I watched the series when I was a child and it was breathtaking in every chapter. Nowadays, we have an extraordinary visual effect technology, but the use of it in the new series is very dissapointment

Most successful remakes tend to have a glimpse of what was to what is now- like what Star Trek did; then move the story on from there. So much was missed in this show til it was just canceled. Awesome concept, but it missed the mark =(

I agree! The new Knight Rider SUCKS!!!! I grew up on old school KR and have loved it ever since. The new car doesnt even live up to the standards set 25 years ago...the producers are forgetting one major thing...the car made the show!!! It was the coolist f'n thing I had ever seen! And now the "special/visual effects" are all crappy CG! We knew it was a ramp with the original turbo boost, but it didnt matter...IT LOOKED AWESOME!!! The new KR is a JOKE!

The new series isn't that bad, Although instead of attack mode I would've preferred pursuit or super pursuit mode. They don't even use the pursuit mode that was seen in the pilot episode, although val kilmer isn't bad i would've still preferred the voice actor for KARR or Mike Rowe, but that's my opinion but i agree the old series is better but the mustang is pretty cool looking if they added some of kitt's older abilites.

William Daniels, the original voice of KITT, was under contract with General Motors when the Original show was using Pontiacs and other GM vehicles, and if he did the voice for the new show as Ford is sponsoring it, it would have been a conflict of interest between his obligations with GM.

But K.i.t.t. from 1980 could take bullets like nothing and even a laser relflect back as in with K.A.A.R BUt its had to say I know the old K.I.T.T BEST. Could cover 1000miles never heard gas ever used. and go up to about 300mph. the New K.I.T.T.
