Hey there, cool bike! I got a Trek 1.5 a couple of weeks ago and I love it! A part from a couple of bits, I think that yourr 1500 is the same bike. :D
Thank you very much for your nice comment and I wish you lots of fun with your super Trek bike. Trek 1500 was build in 2004 and is completely equipped with Shimano Ultegra, which means it is more likely like todays Trek 2.3.
Instead of the original Select Wheels I have used Race X Lite Aero's.
By the way, Sheryl Crow has a Trek Madone of course! ;-)
Yeah the 1500 has some slightly better components. The Trek 1.5 was Sora gear/brake shifters (takes a little getting used to but not that bad), Sora front mech and Tiagra rear mech. But both the 1500 and the 1.5 are extremely good bikes that look so good that you could park them next to a Ferrari and they would not look out of place hehehe :D

I just bought my Trek 1.5 today! I can't wait until the shop puts it together and can ride it. How fast have you been able to get your Trek going?

I managed to get a Trek 1400 UK Discovery colours for half price (shop error) in new 105
which pretty much the same as 1500 minus the Ultegra.
Sharp and a good training machine.
The 1.5 has a good frame and can easily upgrade the parts-which is why it's cheap and bargain prices.
Would love a Madone...

I also have a Trek 1400 (03), but the design is USPS United Postal Service.
