  • if it weren't for the stupid french accent of the narrator these videos would be interesting

  • Yes, Bc7 is not very accurate , thanks for spotting this. Instead , Bh2 then after ...Ba7 Bg1 just wins on the spot.

however, as seiken points out, even after Bc7 ...Ba7 we just pass and black has no good moves

  • Buffguy muste be a retard.

  • somebody else did a video on this i think, i like this one

  • Yeah Bc7 is not a correct move ş have spot immediately after i completed the video :)

So Bh2 and after ... Ba7 Bg1 and white wins for sure :)

  • Canstein blundered a youtube video, 8:05 B-a7 :)

  • welcome back Canstein2!

  • omg theres tears in my eyes from happiness!!! ure back....:)

  • At 8:09, you say the black bishop has no access to b8, but this is false. The black bishop can get to b8 by Ba7.

Your analysis is incomplete. The correct continuation (from FEN 1BK5/1P6/2k5/2b5/8/8/8/8 w - - 0 10) is 10. Bf4 Ba7 11. Be3! (finally completely removing the black bishop from interfering).

  • reti's idea

  • at around 8:05, bc7 is not the best move. cause black will play ba7 and white is not going to promote in 2 moves. The idea is for white to play something like bh2, followed by bg1.

  • Actually I think after ba7 by black, white can just move the bishop along the diagonal and put black in a zugzwang.

  • good to see you back
