You cannot kill the other cat, it jumps on the hammer, destroying the bridge under yourself. You MUST use the enemy to reach the top. The chicken-guy and the 51 pipe is impossible to reach.

it's possible to win against the cat, I think by letting the poison mushroom run into him, but the chicken guy will kill you even if you manage.

you can kill the other cat. You have to make the enemy throw the poison mushroom onto the platform, wait for the cat to die, then you can go to the chicken (but he automatically kills you.)

If you get to the pipe with 51 above it, you just leap to your death. I forget if you leap into the pipe, or appear over it. The winning music starts(when you take the upper route), then your character just jumps forward and dies.

I've played this as well, and to say this game is hard is an understatement. Though not quite a master, I average about -40ish by the time I get to the ending. I'm sure with some practice I could get flawless, but it's really not worth the extra effort. Amazingly hard game overall though.
