Well I haven't listened to much to Oasis, so I can't say who it's better hehe. But I find Damon a really inspiration, or at least, one of the most grandious musician in the world. I mean, he started with a band, Blur, and later he started in solo music. Later, he co-founded Gorillaz, and he keeps it, and the he co-founded The Good, The Bad and The Queen. And he doesn't "run off" of song lyrics and/or music! He's truly an amazing guy. At his age, I think he have made over more songs than Lennon!

Damon is truly a versatile artist, whereas Oasis are just one-dimensional blokes who experienced a lucky streak of success in the 90's. In order to stay relevant Noel has had to do covers of songs by truly great British legends such as The Smiths and The Jam, not to mention collaborations that Gallagher and Co. has done with the likes of Weller and Johnny Marr. It's also humoring to see how Noel now shows a meekness in character to make up for all the damage his brother did while in Oasis.

I think it's funny how people always seem bash Oasis on the videos for Blur and Damon Albarn's misc projects; however, if you go to Oasis videos, you rarely see Damon's name or Blur mentioned at all. I like Damon, Noel, and their bands (I don't care much for Liam though), but I think the contrast in comments shows which group of people feel like they *need* to prove something.

Can't you just enjoy Damon's music without trying to bash Noel and Oasis?

First I saw the Gorillaz 8 years ago and I thought: What an amaizing kind of music and it's so far away from this mainstream stuff. And than I bought every Blur record and all in all it's still the best music I've ever listen to. Damon is still the greatest songwriter and he didn't ever commit to anything and that's what good music is about.
