Congrats on being a finalist! I think it's great that your college won't allow student organizations to use their funds to buy bottled water - I'm going to try and see if I can get my college to do that!
So my suggestion would be that the campaign focus now on influencing folks to buy re-usable water containers and to carry them with them to fill with tap-water.
I agree that we should work to reduce the amount of bottled water that is being distributed, but I disagree with your assumption as to why people choose to drink it.
People are aware that bottled water does not come from a springs--there has been a fair amount of press about this already.
People buy bottled water because it is convenient and sanitary. It is especially handy at events because attendees know they have germ-free water and they can take it from place to place.
