I think in today's WWE, the original Doink gimmick as a sadistic heel that played on Stephen King's Pennywise the Clown character (It) would be VERY successful.

I can understand why people think the Ray Apollo Doink was a joke, but Matt Bourne's heel Doink was far from that. It was a excellent gimmick that could of done wonders if it wasn't for his personal problems.

@88trainwreck Nah the original Doink is still alive, What happened was he got fired by the WWF for failing drug tests and he ended up going to ECW as Borne Again (kinda like half Doink/half Borne), and the Doink character went to guys like Steve Keirn (Skinner), Brooklyn Brawler and a couple other jobbers.
