  • @Radz117 how is this intense?

  • I did a ballet recital dance to this when I was little!

  • This is too intense.

  • May sound Totally Sappy... (...okay, it is ;) I'm 31 now, & have NO idea what age I was when I 1st saw Hook? But I have been doing some 'soul-searching' and have found myself; a sweet little girl, lonely and always awake at night as the rest of the World sleeps.. (that's never changed.. Me vs. Sleep [e'ry Night!] & e'ry Night, I lose!) but this song Popped n my head! Sooo perfect! She was soo Precious! ...journey continued... ;P ♥

  • @MarilynMonroe269 Reading your comment was like reading poetry... It's touching to know that this music touched all of our hearts, reminding us each of our childhood.

  • She was the cutest kid ever!

  • John Williams = leagend ever 1 says Hans zimmer, love him to but jon is my frav

  • She was 6 years old! Beautiful! :..(

  • singing this in choir..<3

  • I just love how her voice is far from being amazing but still it fits entirely with the scene and is in a sense perfect

  • this song reminds me of when i was little and i would play this bit over and over again. i new every word. love it

  • This song never fails to make me tear up. I don't care what anyone says, this may be sappy, but it's the kind of sappy that touches a chord in me and just plucks at it forever.

  • sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • hahaha tootles lost his marbles hah oh man great movie...crazy good memories

  • Do you remember your mother ? ç_______ç

  • Oh god this music is so amazing, brings back so many good memories of better times...

WTF is wrong with kids these days? Or this generation for that matter?

  • @Valen630 not only kids... =/

  • @Valmourt Yeah, parents too i guess... Good old family values are dead...

  • @Valen630 Dude, don't get anyone started on THAT.

  • There's a real similarity between this melody and Saint-Saens' "Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix" - anyone know if that was intentional by John Williams?

  • @mrsspanner14 I came here to point out the same thing.

  • @spectreblofeld Glad it wasn't just me; there are some amazing similarities :-)

  • John Williams is such an impressive composer. The melody of this song is just so bewitching, its incredible. Such a beautiful lullaby. aaaah!!!

Well talking about it you guys, i really dont wanna bother you or anything, but i just did a cover of this song with a friend of mine, so if you got a couple of minutes check it out on my channel or in the video response (dewdrops' cover). We tried our best, really :). It would be great!! thank you :)!

  • did anyone notice how the song refers to " It's the second star to the right and straight on til morning"?

  • It's great to hear a soundtrack from one of my first movies seen in my life time...

This movie came out a year after the year I was born

  • This song gives me blissful goosebumps when I listen to it, I love Hook!

  • I have every single childhood movie that I grew up with! The Golden Child, Never-ending Story, Willow, Labyrinth, Flight of the Navigator, The Goonies, Hook, Lost Boys, Jumanji, Superman 1 and 2, Jaws 1 and 2, Little Monsters and Beetlejuice. I think there are more but those are the main ones :-)

  • @RichKans Flight of the Navigtor was a classic. Cant find that movie anywhere :(

  • @jrb1802uk go to Play dot com they still have copies there left. That's where I bought mine

  • Serieously, too little views for this beautiful song!

  • It's TOO sad :'(

  • i don't want to grow up i want to stay a kid forever !

  • my childhood was both scary and fantastic, ages ago it seems, another life.

  • Tune

  • This song is probably the greatest lullaby ever!

  • Everyday must end, but the night's our friend.

    Amazing.

  • I would sing this song to my child (if I ever have one) which as a man, would probably require some practice to sing it in a lower key.

But it's just such a beautiful song.

  • @mngentry As a 23-year-old male, I can still just manage to sing it in the same key as the girl in the song even though I don't normally practice singing. Sure it sounds ridiculous, but it's kind of cool to still be able to do it. ;)

  • One of the most beautiful movies of all time. One of my top favorites.

  • its just so cute!! you can tell by the voice that this version was actually sung by the girl in hook, but in the actual movie they had another girl cover it.

  • @starleighmagnus i don't think they did, cause it's the same voice as in the movie :)

  • Run home Jack run home..... every time he is reminded of home it makes me wonder what times I have forgotten but I seem to remember them every time I listen to this song. Its almost magic I suppose that as soon as this song is done I forget them again. I wish I had that magic in my pocket so when I forget I just reach down and remember wherever I am.

  • Im glad this was one of my first movies when I grew up. my mom's family thinks im going on the other side, but I dont see myself as some other side, I grew up with this and im glad im the older brother because my sisters like old movie like this even though we did grow up X_)

  • She has a sweet voice

  • @wazpoke yes indeedy....truly a classic for Hook fans

  • I have searching for this song soooo long. And I finally find it <3

  • anybody have a tissue.......lol lol

  • @djteknovibe yeah so do I...

  • @djteknovibe

I'm with you totally on this one... I only have the A.S. so I wouldn't know what tourettes would be like on top of that, & the nutshell version of my condition is that it was hard for me to socialise in school, or to be taught by any of the teachers there, & that after a 5-year stretch of homeshool in my teens, it took me going to a circus school to find acceptance.

  • I too was discovered as having it in '96 at age 6, due to a doctor's examination of how I played with my toys. I've seen too much indication of my behaviour matching its description to believe it's not real.

May I ask what it's like for you?

  • Me and my friend are singing this in chorus. We made up that a bunny was lost and at the end he finds his home, then it blows up.

Our summary: "A star! A leaf! The sky! My home!" BOOM "I'm dead!"

  • Beautiful Song

  • do u really believe that aspergers is real

i believe we are psychic senstive misunderstood for what we are here for we are here to bring peace on earth

Bring's back those great moment's of my child hood.

  • I still love you, Abigail.

    -John

  • Such good feelings are returning now!! This film makes you wanna be Peter Pan

  • she has an amazing voice she gives me chills, she kinda sounds like connie talbot

  • I wonder if John Williams knows how special he is to write a song like that.

  • This song is so beautiful! I sing it to my girls-who just happen to love Peter Pan

  • I still love you, Abigail.

    -John

  • where can I find the soundtrack to "Where's the hook?" you know...

    Hook Hook, where's the Hook?"

  • The score track is called 'Presenting the Hook'. (:

  • YAY i saw this film today for the first time since 1993... i was four back then, whoa time really does fly ;)

  • i'am french. i like this film since 1994, i was 5! i remenbered my father bought this film for christmas.. i saw it many times and today too! sometimes, i believe is a true story....[flight to neverland]

  • nice

  • Cheers to Hook, a movie that helped me grow up.

  • i swear my child will see this movie

  • @mouri111 True that! I think all children should see this movie because it emphasizes the importance of imagination. Kids today simply don't get to enjoy being kids. Einstein once said that imagination is more important than knowledge and it's so true.

  • @racl101 I totally agree.

so many kids and even adults should listen to this.

such a beautiful voice for someone so little O_O and such simply beautiful lyrics!

  • God. . . what happened to those good old times when we were young. . .

  • @AlesandrosX

they are gone.....sad to think bout it sometimes...

  • @AlesandrosX

there locked up in a chest inside of our mind. We even got scars to prove it.

  • @AlesandrosX we got old;(. thats the reason why there is a neverland, there we can never grow up:P just wish tink would come and get me.. lol.

  • @Heymcfly82

lol, I used to think she came around my window at night sometimes when I was little. (Unfortunately I was just seeing car lights from the street. xD) My friend and I even had a sleepover when we were 8 just so Peter and Tink would come get us. We even wrote Peter a note. lol

  • @DefyGravity464 lol.. even though they never showed up.. it matters that you and your friend had great adventures with each other.. and even though peter and tink are fiction as far as i know.. i am sure they would be proud. ;)

  • @AlesandrosX there is actually a way to feel those magical moments again if you're willing. if you can, dedicate a room to your childhood and make it as authentic as possible, with an old Panasonic or Philips TV and VHS player for example. It might not work, especially if you're an outdoors kid, but it helps make the nostalgia come to life.

  • I can't stop to listen to this song...

  • neither can I...

  • oh i loveee thaaaat so cuuuute

  • the little girl singing is not a hot model

  • *_* i love it...when i watch this movie...i feel like pan^^ im 18..but that movie makes me feel like 8 the time you only dream and thought you can fly...

ooohhhh..i want to be young again -.-

  • -deep sigh-

  • omg i loved this movie growing up! i loved this song too. it was like the best!

  • You know, I'm really glad to see that many people lived this movie when they were little kids the same way I did. This song is beautiful, by the way. Hugs from Chile to you all, Lost Boys.

  • Wonder what those kids grew up to be today? Not just the two kids of Pan but all of the Lost Boy as well?

  • Wow, the guy who plays Rufio done well..He plays plenty of cartoon characters like jake from American Dragon & is in Avatar the last airbender.

  • Im glad they included her singing instead of just instumental.

  • THIS SONG IS SO magic , the best film ever i'm twenty now and I always like this movie so much ! memories...

  • BEST MOVIE EVER...

  • hell yeh!

  • I remember having worn out 2 video copies of Hook from simply watching it that much. My mum says her arms still burn a little when she hears this movie's title, as every time we watched it I'd have her pick me up and say "Make me fly, Mum!!" Years later, teachers would still tell my parents, repeatedly, your son has a vivid imagination.

A question for all you 90's kids who lived this film, how many of you can still crow? I Tried yesterday... Where the heck is my 4 and a half year old Peter?

  • I wonder that too. . .

  • Same here....except i never stopped crowing. I still crow when i do something bangarang like score a goal, get a date, or steal hook's hook......or when i watch the dvd because they don't wear out!

  • I know, this was and is still a great movie. They picked the right girl to sign it. Her voice is perfect for it. Great casting for the film.

    "I'm Peter Panning."

    "No, Peter Pan!"

  • This was one of my fav movies as a kid. I can't understand why it got so many negative reviews.

  • because moste pan-lovers can't stand the thought, that pan acutally left Neverland and grew up, i guess.

I love this movie too, spent my whole childhood with it

  • i love the film and this song is soo awsome

  • This one better than the one in the movie :D the sound records better

  • makes me tear up everytime

oh to be a kid again

  • This is like ET for the '90s kids!

  • Awsome!!

  • i cry at this scene

  • this little girl has a beautiful voice she gives me chills

  • gibt es dass lied auch in detusch pls melden ....... danke im vorraus

  • I LIKE HOOK SO MUCH

  • Is anybody able to upload the german version of this song??

  • Is anybody able to upload the german version of this song??

  • pleeeeeeeeease !!! : ]

  • John Williams is the grates composer ever and the london Ocistra are the best to all the music in Hook is gr8. TBA this is my frav film of all time growing up as a very lonly only child this film was played over and over

  • wow... her voice is AMAZING!!!!! i love this song!

do you have any idea where i can buy this song?? its stuck in my head now :)

  • this was one of my favorite parts of the movie when she sang!!!

  • For sure...everyone says its cheesy, but it just breaks my heart. :D

  • Isn't that a wonder?

    When you're alone

    You're not alone

    Not really alone.

    That's amazing.

  • This is seriously the best movie of all time and I'm not exaggerating. It's hilarious yet so sad and SOOOO inspiring and BEAUTIFUL and so many parts just like--- BLOW ME AWAY.

  • yeah speilberg has a way of doing that with his films, this was def one of my fav childhood films and still one of my favorites

  • Aaah, yes, Stephen Speilberg has a great knack for that! :D I agree, this movie has to be one of the best in our time!!

  • So much can be learned from this film. The music is awe inspiring.

Reminds me of how Plato speaks of happiness and love.

  • She is Amber Scott....Hook was her only movie....She´s 24 . Look on google

  • What's the name of the little girl?

  • This part of the movie is so breath taking. for some it's just funny, for some she sings just good. but I see a deeper sense in this scene. she stands there, a female one, singing like all the mothers they don't have anymore. she's singing, and we see how the pirates are feeling creatures, not only fighting. they follow Hook, because he's like a father symbol. but they longing for their mothers. that's all the reason Smee takes her away then... my opinion ...

  • thats really philsophical, ive seen the movie a bunch of times, and i dont think that thought has ever fully sunk in when i watch it. now it will

  • well, it IS philosophical, kind of.

and I just noticed I made a mistake. Smee isn´t taking away Maggie but Jack, but that fits my opinion the better: see when shes singing even Jack remembers his own mother what were fully against Hooks plans so Smee have to take Jack away while even Hook is feeling longing ... Maggie at the end of the film about Hook: ´just a poor man who has no mommy´ (like that) she summarizes it very well I think

  • yeah i was wondering about that maggie being taken away thing you said, but yeah it all makes sense, speilberg is good with rounding up things like that. i even like when he did the whole croc thing coming down on hook, i never saw the croc, "coming to life!" just coming apart and falling on hook, showing you cant escape time no matter how many clocks you smash

  • where is the girl who sings this now?

  • i always wait for that part of the movie when she sing this haha all the pirates listenin and that one guy sighs haha so funny. great movie.

  • she gives me chills

  • she has a beautiful singing voice for a little girl

  • When the little girl sings this in the movie i cry everytime and what a good little singer she is!!

  • You sound like Jack Sparrow lol

  • XDXD Our Choir is working on this song <3. It's coming really well.

  • this song was nominated for an oscar. it lost to another great song; "Beauty And The Beast."

  • Only because John WIliams has won so many prizes already. Without doubt the greatest comoser alive today

  • I agree

  • the best there will ever be
