  • They could have left the pump housing installed and just removed the motor bolt and wire harness to replace the motor, but I bet by now they have done enough that they have learn how to do them the easy way.

  • this guys are doing it the hard way

  • thats the HARD way to replace a wash motor!

  • @cdkronberg Hahaha, the VERY HARD way haha. At least I give them an A for effort. I remember the first time I did one of those Whirlpool models, took forever, now after about 100 of them, I can have it in and out, without pulling the dishwasher in 20 minutes.

  • I had to fix my dishwasher too.

I think you would like how i did it.

    Check it out at hudsonvillegarage.

    Thanks

  • WE (qualified servicers) leave the unit attached to counter, remove outer door panel and remove pump (drain) then remove wash assembly.

MUCH easier AND the factory way of fixing.

  • hey thanks for putting this little video up I have just ordered a dishwater pomp myself and will install it ,it was very helpful

  • Glad it helped. Once you have a dishwasher you'll have a new outlook on cooking. Well, I did. :)

  • i never do any washing up by hand!

Pots pans plates and all kitchen stuff goes in the dishwasher!"

  • What a beautiful white dishwasher! Amazing! lol! ;)

  • hmmm mine wasn't that hard to take out but it did help to find out that taken part out by pulling up was the proper way to do it. there was obstructing near the pump that was preventing drainage , might have been the problem all along so ordering the new part might have not been necessary although old pump was making weird noise better to be safe then sorry....thanks for the video again

  • As you know, this appliance is not that old and obviously had too many problems since you purchased it.

I would write a letter to Kenmore...not asking for a replacement, but letting them know that because of this you will never buy any Kenmore appliance again and that you have been a loyal Kenmore customer.

You might be surprised as to what they might do.

  • It's nice to see people still attempt to repair things... I also like the extreme tech lingo. :)

  • LOL at least they knew what they were saying. :)
