  • Ah, man, this reminds me of Teddy. First and last time I can watch this video, but for the record, your dog is adorable. If anyone out there is wondering what breed of dog to buy, my recommendation is that you get yourself a Chessie.

  • my dog smiles but when we come home she does the happy pee thing too its hilarious

  • mine smiles, too. they all do. scared the crap out of everyone who thinks he is about to bite them. no sweeter or more stubborn breed, but i cant live without them. wab

  • Our Chessie(Saber) used to do that everytime we got home from somewhere. We had to put her down last year due to back problems. We have another dog now...but I don't think any other breed does that Chessie smile.

  • this is adorable!!!!! i gotta chessie. she talks and i've filmed her but now i gotta see if i can get her to smile ;)

  • My family's Chessie, Chelsea, used to do the SAME thing any time someone greeted her.

  • My chessie does this too!!! sooooooo cute!! got any tips on how to make her to it on command

  • @stephs914 i got a chessie as well and he does it whenever he feels like it. but when i show him my teeth, its contagious and he smiles right back at me :D

  • LOL! I love Dakota! I used to have a Lab mix who did the exact same thing...people always thought she was bearing her teeth at them...lol!

  • I adore Chesapeake's! Mine does the smile on occasion.... always does the roo... and there is a reason while I call her EbbaSneezer!

  • LOLOL yup, that's the chessy smile!!! My Sally-girl used to smile all the time when we talked to her, or when we came home.

  • mine does this exact same thing when i come home, even if i only walk outside for a few minutes i still get a great big smile upon return.

  • my chessie did that when i was rubing him at the vet and the vet made me put a muzzle on him

  • Dogs sneeze when they are happy or having fun.

  • lol my first chessie i had did that, but my current one doesnt. its funny because people would thinkin that she was growling or being mean when she was really just happy :)

  • Our female does this too - all the time! Freaks out the neighbors... And she smiles enough to sneeze too...

  • Our Chessie does that in the morning, too. For her it means Gotta go potty!

  • Hi - I love your Chessie! I am having issues with my 4 year old female. She has become dog aggressive! I am very upset with this because I want her to be able to play with my other dog and play at the dog park, but she just will not have any part of it. How much work does this require to get her behavior to improve? I would love to send her to Cesar Milan's house for a month! LOL.

  • hahah my chesapeake bay retriever is named dakota too! and she does the exact same thing

  • And he roo roo roos as well. Now this is a consumate Chessie!
