okay here is what it's wrong!: in this movie they started building the egyptian pyramides and this is 10000 bc and the very first pyramid that was built, started 2630 bc :S they didn't read that much history... and it was imhotep.
like dozen of people mentioned, the movie is historicaly inaccurate. But, ! not only history... but also Prehistory. Mammoth became extinct 10.000 BC, by then, they were very few and did not go in large herds. The saber tooth tiger(smilodon) also became extinct 10.000 bc, but... they lived in South America, not egypt. But that's not all, the giant predotary bird, terror bird, also lived in south america and they became extict ... one million years ago.
I don't understand how you can make a movie and not do any research, let alone check wikipedia, to make sure that your film is at least somewhat factual. I think it's fine when history themed films take artistic license (e.g. Gladiator, Braveheart,etc.) but how can you make a film where events that happened up to 8,000 years apart from each other occurring simultaneously and expect to be taken seriously?
This movie was unbearable. It mixed so many cultures that it totally did not make any sense even from a fantasy perspective. And we don't even see the girl's tits, at least, it would make it worth a minute.

Quest For Fire had a micro budget, none of these special effects were available, and the director did an awesome job.

I read some comments and found that most of you are stupid to understand that this is not a historical movie so STFU its not something like 300 and 300 its not even that much historical cus it says only 300 spartans guarded the pass wen there were about ~300 spartans with about 1500+ or more greeks and other mercenaries..so just enoy the movie and the girl..

@TheAwesomeBomb I'm watching it as I write. Caveman with Ringo is better than this crap. I liked the 20ft tall Mammoth, the tree climbing 15ft Phorusrhacos or Diatryma (wrong time line), the 1 ton smilodon, the big nets with nothing to make them from, and not mention the giant fortress the size of a Pyramid and no evidence trees ever grew there. Oh, and where did the black people come from? Oh great, I just saw karate ! I can't take much more. I gonna finish the end of WALL-E.

okay here is what it's wrong!: in this movie they started building the egyptian pyramides and this is 10000 bc and the very first pyramid that was built, started 2630 bc :S they didn't read that much history... and it was imhotep.

like dozen of people mentioned, the movie is historicaly inaccurate. But, ! not only history... but also Prehistory. Mammoth became extinct 10.000 BC, by then, they were very few and did not go in large herds. The saber tooth tiger(smilodon) also became extinct 10.000 bc, but... they lived in South America, not egypt. But that's not all, the giant predotary bird, terror bird, also lived in south america and they became extict ... one million years ago.

I don't understand how you can make a movie and not do any research, let alone check wikipedia, to make sure that your film is at least somewhat factual. I think it's fine when history themed films take artistic license (e.g. Gladiator, Braveheart,etc.) but how can you make a film where events that happened up to 8,000 years apart from each other occurring simultaneously and expect to be taken seriously?

This movie was unbearable. It mixed so many cultures that it totally did not make any sense even from a fantasy perspective. And we don't even see the girl's tits, at least, it would make it worth a minute.
