I kind of prefer the Japanese version, because the ship’s overseers are speaking some language other than Japanese – Cantonese, I think – and it sounds really creepy/cool with the filter they apply to it.
"I DO own the Original anime manga Film Created by Shirow Masamune."
That's not what youtube authors mean when they say they don't own something. It's a legal thing where they clarify that someone else (Here: Shirow Masamune) has ownership of the material in their clip and that they aren't trying to benefit personally from it (pretending they made it).
It's usually obvious but it's a technical thing and done to protect yourself from legal action.
@Kriby88 The funny thing is, though, it doesn't really offer any legal protection. It does add to a case of "fair use", e.g. if you're using the video for the sake of criticism, scholarly review, new reporting, etc. Sharing a clip from a movie on YouTube just because you like it doesn't count as fair use.
i dont think its a dumb question.... its fictional, im pretty sure.
the major says ".30 cal arm", so thats something like 7,62x51...
imo the gun resembles the FN FAL, an old battle rifle. its long-barreled and kicks like a mule. just the thing you need to take out those nasty gynoids with just a few shots. ;)
I never really understood why the Gynoids take out the Locus Solus forces too. Were they acting by themselves or were they just indiscriminate over who they killed?
Thanks for uploading this. The SAC movie was good, but I hope they make another GitS movie in this "realistic" style (but tone down the pseudo-philosophy a bit).
@sackyhack pseudo-philosophy? How are questions as old as the Ship of Theseus considered pseudo-philosophy? If you take the philosophical debate on existence and reality out of GitS, what you get is a mere action flick blockbuster. Not the masterpiece that this series is.
I love the color separation.

i;ve seen the first movie, which is better? this looks way different than ghost in the shell 1

@MicahBuzan The first is better, by far. This is a nice addition to it, as it's the only actual direct sequel to the 95 film.

The second English dub (which is better than the first in pretty much every way) preserves the Cantonese.

@mildseven73 I very much doubt it. It's a very common cliche.
