Scoop tongue piercing

This piercing is extremely dangerous. Most professional shops will not do this for you. It could hit veins in the tongue that could require hospitalization. I hope nobody attempts to perform the same piercing on themselves. I don't think you should be giving yourself or your friends piercings. An infection could lead to death. I hope you don't pierce your friends. Putting yourself in danger is one thing, but putting others at risk is a whole different story.

@ambers6991 Thanks for your concern hun, but I've done this piercing one myself 6 times already; not one complication has occurred. The veins are on the bottom of your tongue, not in the middle. The most you could do with this piercing is lose taste buds but well you have to be truly inexperienced to do that. I can still taste everything perfectly fine so worry about yourself alright ?

Also I'm not sure what "professional shops' you go to but everyone that I've gone to does it.

@KillerMeth First of all, do not patronize me. Do not call me "hun". I was not rude. There's no need for you to be. Second of all, you could easily still puncture a vein. Not a single shop in my state will attempt to do this piercing because their insurance policies will not cover it due to how dangerous it is. And it's hard to worry about myself when your viewers are asking you for advice when you aren't a professional and could cause serious damage to someone's health.

And as for viewers asking me, not once have i given them advice to do it themselves. I tell them to get it professionally done. I do have friends who work in a professional shop who trained me to do this. Soon, i will be their apprentice. So, it's not like i don't know my stuff. None the less i do still tell them to get it done professionally.

@merryhicks1 hmm, I havent payed much attention to myself but when i see other people who have it i easily notice when they have it. So yeah, i'd say its easier to see.

Do you still have this piercing? I want to get mine done but it looks like a lot of people are bashing it and saying it's risky and will chip your teeth or cause you to have a lisp indefinitely. Also, apparently most tat shops won't do this on customers because it's dangerous?

@HorseCrazyx0x where I live, I haven't been to a shop who won't do it. So, I can't say for sure your local shop will do it. As for chipping teeth, yes it can but any tongue ring has that risk. Nothing has happened to me when i had it. I've redone it on myself 6 times. A friend of mine had it done and he did in fact chip a tooth. So of course with any piercing comes risk. You just have to be careful with it.

@MissLexxxii There are no danger from veins in this piercing. There are two veins on your tongue and they are located under your tongue to the sides. What i did was a surface piercing so no, it will not be a danger regarding to veins. If you get the vertical venom's then yes I believe it could be a danger , as long as you get it professionally done and take all of the after care actions your piercer tells you to, then you should be fine. good luck !
