  • This scene makes me tear up everytime. It sends shivers down my spine. I think the signifigance of the scene is partially a symbol of Mr. Fox realizing that the thing he fears most is actually beautiful and he takes the time to pause and appreciate it. I also think the author of this story is trying to relay an message of conservation for all the animals. Especially the wolf who has been hated and feared and attacked for centuries. The odds are not good. Good Luck out there Canis Lupus.

  • Whistle click click

  • why is this scene so amazing I have no ideea..

  • I guess this could be a 'Big lipped alligator moment'.

  • @boru25 Lol!

  • HA HA Glad you agree.

  • Really, the scene is about the Polish Solidarity movement of the 1960s and how the Goverment worked with labor unions to allow profit sharing and worker ownership in factories.

  • The wolf is what mr fox fears and yet it's what he wants to be. It's the pure wild creature - therefore it does not speak english, french or latin.

  • This movie is wonderful... and I always thought that there was a deep meaning for this scene, but I still dont know what it is, In the comment they seem to explain it, but I think the meaning its deeper than that..

  • Wolf Power :P

  • I love the totally random glacier in the brown and orange background...What?! haha.

  • lol this part of the movie was so random xD lol

  • too funny!! I did the same thing!

amazing we share and spread the same emotional moment in this amazing movie!

  • too funny!! I did the same thing!

  • Q: What does phobia mean?

    A: a fear

    Q: How come?

    So cute....

  • The wolf is a super Leeds Fan!!

  • You people who think this is funny are stupid or you just don't get the movie

  • XD i love this part of the movie <3

  • i fuckin lose it everythime i see this part! i have no clue as to why its so funny man.... hilarious part! i love this film...

  • COool

  • when fox raised his arm it reminded me of indiana jones and the last crusade when the grail knight raises his arm to bid them farewell.

  • The feeling I get from this scene is that human spirit wishing to reach out to the unknown...

Trying to understand and connect to the world we live in...Wild and untamed...

A good example of this is the raised fist.

I imagine the wolf being a certain race with Mr Fox another...

Mr Fox’s fear of the Wolf is like humanities fear of each other, and the symbolic meaning of the raised fist, the raised fist logo may represent unity or solidarity, generally with oppressed peoples...

  • @mastermajid I was trying to find the words. You explained it perfectly.

  • @smilehimself

    Thank you....

  • My all time favourite scene from an animated movie... so much feeling...

  • I die every time the wolf raises it's arm.

  • I dont think this scene is random at all . I think it shows how we are all wild inside, yet we fear it , though we should actually embrace it.

  • I have no idea what the point of this scene was, but I watched it like 15 times.

  • That kid is like a prophet, "how come he's not scared now". He understands the importance of a seemingly random scene.

  • completely agree with funky monk. great scene.

  • It made my laugh hard but... What was the point of this scene agian?

  • @maciekur I think it has something to do with prejudices, ie race with the whole raiseing of the fist thing.

  • @blank10123 it's said that the Mr. Fox had always feared the Wolf, but wanted to be like the Wolf. I see it more as he's saying he no longer fears him and admires him as a hero. I'm not sure, that's what it says to me.

  • love this movie so much , voice acting is really good , and the music is wondefull , i love this scene power to the fox and wolf !!! ( puts paw in the air)

  • oh my god this is definitely my new favorite movie scene ever

  • I love this scene!

  • Had that been Canis Lupus Occidentalis, the fox would of been run down and eaten for a snack.

  • I loved this scene, it came out of nowhere and was completely breath takingly beautiful. Then the wolf raised his "fist" and I ended up laughing out loud.

  • can someone please upload this in good quality?

  • @naesch7 /watch?v=TSmw-RvgesU Thats it :) my favourite part

  • This is the movie's most beautiful scene !

  • I have no idea why... but this scene always brings a tear to my eye!

  • How awesome are kids. "How come he's not scared now?"...completely full of curiosity and they have no fear of asking the tough questions. They can't fully rationalize the nuances of subtext, so they take it on head first.

  • @FunkyMonk00 can you explain me the subtext of this scene plz?

  • @TopperHarley987 Well you can read a bunch of things into it, but in general it's just a charming, poignant scene about the mutual respect these animals have for each other. The whole movie we hear about Mr. Fox's phobia, but in the end the phobia is silly. In the end there is a common thread between all the animals, and that is to simply survive. The fist in the air is a gesture of respect and the struggle to survive and be peaceful amongst all the persecution from the humans.

  • Viva la Revaluation!

  • This scene was so random. Best part of the movie. I loved when he raised his arm. XD

  • @snowhusky005 Me, too! I thought the entire dialog was hilarious. My mother was giving me crazy looks for finding this scene so impressive. "I'm asking him if he thinks we're in for a hard winter" -ZooM In- "He doesn't seem to know.

  • @snowhusky005

random? They made the movie for this scene.. Without this scene the movie wouldn't even be created in the first place

  • @timen1986 I wouldn't exactly say that. Nice try though.

  • @snowhusky005

its not something i came up with mate :)

  • @snowhusky005 It wasn't random. It was carefully written, story boarded, directed and acted and animated over a long process.

  • @snowhusky005 No random at all, it is related to how we overcome our fears, what makes us ourselves, and the sense of freedom and solidarity. Best part of the movie.

  • Haha !! what does phobia mean?

  • @uckthat basically 'fear of'

  • He has no fear because wolves arent bad after all....probably most important scene for Fox...thats his catharsis
