So much wrong here. First of all, don't ever grow your grass on the ground. All sorts of snails, slugs and other bugs get in it; us racks at least. Next, Styrofoam? Come on guy, that stuff is toxic and just fills the dumps. You can use something recyclable. Your hearts in the right place brother, but you have to use your head too. Good luck.

I am sure we don't need to go to extreme RAW or VEGAN diets. Just cut out excess sugar and other carbohydrates will do the trick. Go back some 30 years to what our grandparents ate. Sure there were junk food then, but NO Macers or KFC etc. Fast foods were not affordable, so we ate home cooked simple meat and veg meals.

CLColegrove I live in an appartment 2 but I grow more than enough grass for my whole family to drink everyday. You just need to look around ur house for some space to put the kits.during the winter the grass grow very slow so u want to grow more grass than usual.

@CLColegrove That's why wheat and barley grass are truly a Godsend. They don't require direct sunlight, although they do grow a bit better with it. very definitely can be grown indoors even by city dwellers!
