And since I used crude software that required listening to the entire song each and every frame and each edit (and re-edit and tweak), you can bet I chose music I didn't mind hearing 6 hours straight! But it doesn't quite sustain the precision movements once rendered and uploaded. This is my way of saying I take full responsibility -- except for the imperfections! ; - ) I keep a pet scapegoat!
Lilly, I am never without coffee and you and Franco can klatsch around the clock here without worry of being cited for loitering or looting or littering or, Truus's own
favorite, graffiti! She pronounces it close to gravity just
to prove you can be rebellious without a spraycan in your hand! : )
Truus has a heavy duty stapler (don't ask its usual use - ouch! ) which might help to ensure that the Triakontameron won't have the short-term display of a Polaroid snapshot! (We all marveled at how those developed before our eyes. But no one ever thinks something beautifully developed can also fade away with time!) I had a Jamaican friend who taught me a lot
of their patois language. The Jamaican term
for ghost is "Duppy" (rhymes with puppy),
and their term for pilzen (we call mushrooms)
is then "Duppy Umbrellas." I just love it! : )

passion for music, and a fascination with interesting
photographs; but this idea of personally moving from
spectator-only into the realm of creator-of-a-montage
has indeed taken hold of my soul's lapels. I have yet
another software I will try as soon as possible! I find
such intriguing photos in the course of regular web activities, I surely wish to put them together in a way which makes for a rich experience. Happy New Year to you and yours

these images with a different sensation than most of us. (And Linda must feel it with every bit of muscle memory) I especially loved the image of the blonde woman (i think 40 seconds in?) and thought you would also appreciate that lovely smile.

Thank you, dear Yiling! I have a seemingly infinite capacity to listen to the music, and watch the dancers, of tango. And particularly the entwined Argentinian style with which the movements are so critically reliant on each partner's timing that one wrong move can be devastating. As with watching the music videos of you and Truus, it is fascinating to see the union of two highly skilled individuals merge into one creation with two stunning components! Well, thank you so much, Wendy! I really enjoyed the process of making this video. And since I used crude software that required listening to the entire song each and every frame and each edit (and re-edit and tweak), you can bet I chose music I didn't mind hearing 6 hours straight! In other words, the chance of a BocaFriend bagpipe video is even slimmer than Tiger Woods being named TIME's

Argentinean dance companies in performance and I remember reading that when tango dancing first developed, it was an aggressive display of athleticism between men only. Several died because the artery behind their leg could be severed
by the speed and force of their "partner's" heels!

my fainting couch, wondering why I can't buy software that does what I want, how I want, when I want....
I think preconceived artistic visions clash with reality. If I could be content to choose nice photos and music and surrender my pan and zoom to a
more skilled resource (the auto feature) I'd probably be better off. And yet ....

through sambas, bossas, and tangos worldwide!
I really love making videos, but haven't found the key
to my ultimate comfort zone yet. Software which gives a free hand in direction (like this one did ) isn't smooth. And the smoothie movies are kind of on
auto-pilot and feel less satisfying. To quote you:

Ohh, thank you, Lilly! I tried a free software program which had me enthused because it offers the ability to control the camera at *every* single moment. But it doesn't quite sustain the precision movements once rendered and uploaded. This is my way of saying I take full responsibility -- except for the imperfections! ; - ) I keep a pet scapegoat!

Truus has a heavy duty stapler (don't ask its usual use - ouch! ) which might help to ensure that the Triakontameron won't have the short-term display of a Polaroid snapshot! (We all marveled at how those developed before our eyes. But no one ever thinks something beautifully developed can also fade away with time!) Here's to vibrant colors which last and last and last! : )
