@thedayofnite Thanks for the comment. I don't consider myself a good singer, but what helped me a lot is to play a melody on the guitar, and then blend/match my voice to it to the best of my ability. It's a good training method for your voice and ear.

Mainly ear-trained through lots of listening. I went to music college and was exposed to a lot of new ideas, but most of my discoveries came from transcribing and learning songs by ear. Also, hanging out with and learning from many musicians light years ahead of me was invaluable.

It's a 310. Very bright sounding guitar. I like to record with a Martin D-16gt, it's a bit warmer sounding.

Martin are overall the best guitars! (Taylor too) I think i will buy a Martin d35 when i have money:) I love Martin Guitars because I love Dave Matthews, you know he plays a custom Martin, they have (like you said) a very full warm tone. I love the bright taylor sound too. Different sweet guitars!
