  • worst.

  • What Dove is doing for so many young girls is amazing. It isn't simply a marketing tactic, though it may be working as one. If you did your research, you'd know that. They wouldn't go to the trouble of doing free-of-charge workshops and outreach stuff with young girls and teenagers if they were solely in it for the money. They have teamed up with many organizations in the battle against eating disorders (is this parody-worthy too?), and Dove's role is to start kids off early knowing their worth.

  • lmfao only idiots dont get this.

  • Unilever also owns Axe and Slim-Fast...basically the Dove Real Beauty Campaign was only effective because of campaigns like Axe and Slim-Fast being around for so long, otherwise there would be nothing for Dove to raise money for; women and girls would not need help with their self-esteem. Brilliant on Dove's part, but sad in every other sense.

  • omg! it's so true! one of the ads said something like "buy our products to help raise money"

of course you're gonna raise money, bimbos.

  • love it!

  • ....wow...hey isn't a parody supposed tomake fun of something, and make you laugh? this was SSOOOO..not funny, lame, slow and stupid... wwooptydoo

  • @soragirl792 A parody might not be the right word, but it's an allusion to the dove commercial where they point out the hypocrisy in a beauty product marketing themselves by promoting natural beauty in an ad and promoting "improvements" in all other. However, "allusion" doesn't attract as many viewers as "parody"

  • Great message.

  • They sell products to make you more beautiful, but then put up ads saying that you are who you are..............riight....

  • the grl @ 0:09 is so cute

  • The moment someone tries to do something good in the world, people always find some way to shoot it down. I don't get it - do they just WANT everyone to be miserable??

  • I agree with fireandice.

  • @fireandice027 No, they want massive corporations to be held accountable for lying to the public and being total hypocrites. Dove is owned by Unilever, one of the most giant brands in existence. NOTHING they do is for any reason other than to make money - and it's especially dishonest to claim to fight the very media machine that they themselves use to spur our desire for their own products. Don't be duped. Dove makes fucking CELLULITE cream, for Christ's sake.

  • @fireandice027 Oh also, Unilever is a major manufacturer of skin bleaching creams, used in countries where white skin is valued over dark skin. Women often get disfigured or have their health compromised from the dangerous ingredients in these creams, but Unilever keeps making them - while at the same time, telling us all to "love ourselves." Real beauty my ass.

  • @TheSoyMilkConspiracy Correction... white skin and caucasians are valued above anyone else in all countries on this planet.. white supremacy is the world law.. the saddest thing apart from sexism where men are valued above anyone else in all countries.

  • @fireandice027 no, it's called thinking and not getting sucked in by PR campaigns like this. It's pretty obvious Dove is doing it because it would help their company.. it isn't cynical but just stating what is obvious...at least to many people

  • help us raise money buy our products, we are a shamless bunch of goons!

  • Dove's campaign is about real beauty. Its about not using 19 year old, size zero models and then photoshopping them into even more unrealistic creations. They use models of all ages and sizes to prove that there are many different types of beauty. There is nothing wrong with selling conditioner or tinted moisturiser. They aren't making women feel ugly and insecure so they will buy their products or selling them anything harmful like weight loss pills, sunbeds, plastic surgery etc

  • it is true though

  • haha :D

but i agree the dove-message is right

  • The people who are miffed about this parody are like children who are hurt when they find out there's no such thing as Santa Claus. Dove is pretending to care about self esteem to boost sales, period. Don't send your kids to a hooker to teach them about chastity.

  • @angryangora I agree... Dove is in the beauty industry, it's just a PR campaign, it's all for money.

  • hmm the vid was a bit wrong but the kids were cute and i love the song!

  • but it doesn't mean that the message dove wants to give about self-esteem and beauty is wrong ;)

  • you guys dont get it, they're not saying don't do anything with your apperance they're saying work with what you have.

In reality most of the self esteem Dove stuff is actually geared twards mothers of young girls with eating disorders anyways.

  • lol^^

  • i agree that they are using this as a campaign to promote sales... but isn't that the point of a company...? and they, unlike many others at least pretend to care about things like these... so why all the hate?

  • Yeah youre right

  • Lmao, I see your point.

But they do portray a good message about self-esteem, but it true. They really ARE just trying to sell their stuff.

  • True. The message Dove is teaching is about self-esteem.

  • lol, so true, i like how you really read in between the lines. But still, even though i dont like their products i like the message.

  • rofl

  • propaganda much?

  • It's kind of funny actually.

  • u know people just be quiet this person is just trying to prove a point how girls don't think they're beautiful how they r!

  • Actually, this person is trying to prove the point on how Dove uses heartfelt self esteem bullshit to sell their products while denying that their other Dove commercials make young girls feel the same way the other companies commercials do.

    Hypocracy fail.

  • I totally agree with you! Believe it or not I don't remember them saying "Buy our products and you can look like this girl!!" I remember them saying "No wonder our perception of beauty is disorted."

  • haha

  • HAHA..I see your point, but like some others have said at least SOME positive ideas will get through to young girls, because it just keeps getting worse every year..the pressure is just too much for a lot of them..it's sad.

  • dude. this isnt even funny. See dove self-esteem ad parody. that is actually funny.

this is just crap. shame on you. see the other one. i think you will like it. because its actually good. this however sucks balls...

  • you're actually an idiot.

    dove havn't done this atall.

it doesn't once say anything about selling their products or profits.

when you try to help thousands of girls' self-esteem and improve confidence of others, then you can take the piss.

spend your sad life making some nice videos.

  • This parady sucks. It is sophomoric to approach anything a corporation does with cynicism. Many people think the profit motive corrupts any good that a corporation attempts to do, but grow up. People are inherently selfish no less than corporations and governments. A human being selfishly consumes and business seeks to create products for that consumption. Marketing like DOVE's is no more worthy of criticism than an individual doing something nice for the sake of their reputation.

  • umm, no.... i believe that what SUCKS is your spelling of PARADY. great video owsly!

  • This video is idiotic. Someone in the world is trying to help young girls feel good about themselves and your insulting their efforts. That's just sad.

  • This parody is SO true. You hit it right in the bullseye. Good job. I applaud you, lol. *clap clap clap*

  • Some of us don't like the ads because we don't like hypocrisy and being patronized to. Dove couldn't care less about your self esteem. The Campaign for Real Beauty was cooked up to make Dove stand out from its competitors. And by targetting girls they're encouraging brand loyalty at an early age. This parody was dead on.

  • I disagree. Though many of your points are true, and very valid considering "brand-loyalty" is extremly important in the marketting business-Dove is still doing some good in our beauty obsessed world. Though they may be doing it for their own financial gain, at least they've managed to get a positive message out there. Standing out from competitors or not, this campaign is better in existence, then never having been though of at all, and letting young girls continue to hate themselves.

  • I can't help but notice this doesn't necessarily have a possitive image on dove. I've dated too many girls that thought they were fat, skinny, ugly, and in some cases was the cause of the seperation. Its a serious issue. Sexy is so programmed into our minds that we dont always know what true beauty is. I hope everyone someday will learn to look a little less with their eyes and more with their hearts.

  • well, i wish people would look more with their left legs and less with their hearts OR eyes.

  • i wish so too. unfortunately, most humans on earth dont see that their bodies are just vessels for these "hearts". let us cross our fingers and your wish be granted.

  • aw, this is cute..at least the music is.

  • Check also our parody

  • LMAO...

    Little Girls Thinking They're Fat...

  • lol

I totally get you're point. But at the same time spending so much money, either way their raising awareness its not all totally for 'buy our products'

  • The media, and advertising, are among the most powerful influences on the human mind that currently exist. If Dove wasn't a profitable company, they wouldn't have the money to air pricey 90 second commericials worldwide. Commercials that will hopefully take steps to expand women's notions of beauty through positive media influence. Making a parody of their ads was an ignorant thing to do. I'd like to see you make a bigger impact on your own. Asshole.

  • lol

  • This Is So0o0o0 True.

They Make Products To Help The Flaws Us Young Girls Think We Have,But They Protest AGAINST THEMSELVES.

But This Was A Bit Funny =]

    Yet TRUE.

  • You like capital letters don't you?

  • As meh older brother [Nafacto] would say,

    BUT OF COURRRSE!

  • They Dont Just Want Money!

They Wouldnt Be Using Little Girls And At Least It Comes In Good Intension, It Makes Girls Feel Good About Themselves And Im Happy They Made All These Commercials

  • Organisations try their hardest to get consumers on their side. They act on people's weaknesses, which in this case is body image. Don't be so naive to think that they do this because they REALLY CARE. Its all for profit..

  • Organisations try their hardest to get consumers on their side. They act on people's weaknesses, which in this case is body image. Don't be so naive to think that they do this because they REALLY CARE. Its all for profit..

  • Wtf.

  • I don't get it.

Dove comes up for the average women and I thinks that's the best advertising on this moment to help the self esteem of many women. It open our eyes and I hope it will change in the future. Because the media power is very strong on people.

  • Why they do this? These people know that the very same media conglomerate that makes dove adds make the lynx adds. you know the 1s that make women an item. Its all about money honey!

  • OMG this is so right!

    They just want our money!

  • i dont really understand why people make things like this...those kids were some of the cutest kids i've ever seen!!!!! they dont need these dove products!!!! <333

  • nicely said and SO true i agree.

  • well.. I can really see that was photoshoped :P

  • that was not a real advert! That is SO wrong because I'm so for the protests-Its not about buying the products-Its about changing ppls views of what beauty is! And the kids think there ugly because they see celebs that are made outta plastic and compare themselves to them

  • If it's about protests, why does it say "dove" at the end of each of those ads. They want to sell their products, you know. This is all about marketing.

  • true

  • that wasn't the real ad look up dove evolution durrrr

  • thats why it says PARODY in it... durrrr

  • Me thinks that they are trying to ally with those that buy their products, so they can sell their products, because the people that buy them think they are doing something good, by supporting what Dove is doing. But then, those that own Dove, also create Lynx/Axe. And you figure out that it's all freaking pointless, when you look at a Lynx ad.

  • its fake u retart

  • hehe no way :P LOL

  • these firls are like 6 years old!!! how can they think they are fat and hate themselves?? I hate when kids think that stuff!! UHH I HATE THAT!

  • uhh. its okay. i dont think they actually feel that way. i think thats kinda...uh...part of the parody.

    you cant relax

  • dit slaat egt nergens op zielige menshu :S

  • hey this video actually makes sense. i guess dove are like any other business...out to make a quick buck. so i guess the lesson is - you can take as much advice from companies - sp long as they dont try to sell you their shit

    good video btw!

  • I hate this video that campaing is good, there are children who hate their bodies... I'm talking about 8 year odl girls and 12 year old... this campaign show them they are beautiful no matter what tv says because it's all a contant lie.... so, your video sucks

  • I hate this video that campaing is good, there are children who hate their bodies... I'm talking about 8 year odl girls and 12 year old... this campaign show the they are beautiful no matter what tv says because it's all a contant lie.... so, your video sucks

  • why does everyone take this campaign so personal.?

if they're doing it for the money, let them.

    if they're not, let them.

its worthless wasting your energy on something that pointless, really.

  • yeah dove does it for the marketing

  • your video actually sucks :D.

  • i agree.. at least dove is doing somehintg about it..

  • Meh, pretty tacky really. Everyone who has half a brain knows what the REAL reason behind a MARKETING CAMPAIGN is. TO SELL THINGS. Dove never actually say... 'our product is the best, buy it' nor do they say 'don't buy our products just make sure little girls don't grow up corrupted. It's what they don't say that matters. Obviously that wasn't clear to the idiot who made this. some of these Spoofs are brilliant... this one sucks really.

  • they are being so hypocritical

  • True!!

  • Great, my opinion.

  • its a sad world

  • brilliant.

  • Well that was nice and inconsiderate of u

  • Partly Dove want's you to buy their products, and partly it's for their image.. but I guess that's also wanting people to buy their products. But SOME good does come out of it at least. It's better than that hypocritical "Red" campaign from The Gap, anyway.

  • I think that the person who made this video has serious self esteem issues to make fun of people trying to make a difference doves making videos to help woman and younger girls feel good about themselves on the inside and out and i think you are a fuck face for making this!!!!!

  • I think this parady is horrible, dove is trying to make a difference in a flawed world.

  • oh please, if they really care then why the hell they promote self-tanner?

  • that is sooooo sad that those young girls think that!

  • sweetie, they don't really think these things (yet, anyway...give them 10 years and they might) its just a statement.

  • you're an ass

  • wtf

  • cool!!

  • to 20Molly20

    this isn't the real ad...

  • its saying "lets change their mind" - by buying their products?? wth

  • this is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo stupid.

  • wow thats pritty amazing

  • i actually don't understand this campaign cus it's talking about the distorted definition of beauty and accepting and seeing urself as beautiful.

So Y does any1 need any products to help her when she thinks she is extremely beautiful (despite the fact that she is actually ugly)?

  • who sings the song it's so cute and lyrics are good.

  • this is a sick parody and sardistic... i understand all in good humour. yes dove is targeting real beauty and satisfying there product nice. however look in their campgain they are "real" women all sizes and ages... thats what there saying be yourself... and we will help you.

  • then why they sell self-tanner?

  • I love the use of really little girls

  • lmao

  • lol.its funny

  • love it.

    "buy this"--*snicker*

  • that was so great! I hate those companies that pretend they're doing something for some other purpose than to sell their products. (I made a version of this commercial as well with dogs...)

  • love it

    and it's so true

we should all accept ourselves for who we are

  • Dove is putting comercials that help teens (friends.. i should know)

even tho it's for money purposes and campaining they show people about the true media and what it does behinfd the sences. Plus they guive out free brochere stuff that's like 8 pages long about self esstem..... MAYBE THAT WAS JUST ME THO....

    welll.....

  • lol, truth. also, if kids at that age think something is wrong with their looks, it's probably the parents' fault and not the evil media and corporations.

  • for those that dont get it....the original dove ad was criticizing how other companies distort what people really look like into what we percieve as beauty and encouraged the viewers to be comfortable with who they are, but dove has products that change what you really look like.......get it???

  • Thank you! Finally someone actually pays attention during the parody and actually understands it.

  • Gotchaaaaa.

    Haha.

  • sobidy sob...

  • i didnt get it

    ->>ashley<<-

  • this is beautiful ;) 5 stars from me!

  • ok... so dove is now saying that the children thinkning that they need to change are right, if you think about it, dove is being as shallow as the poeple who judged them in the first place

  • ist not a real comercial !

  • aweeee omg, i thot they were all perfect.. ok and the guys one here saying omg that one little girl was cute, ew no wtf is wrong with you. they're all perfect because they are themselves still and maybe not yet trying to change themselves for the media. thank you to the guy who made this you make us all think :) i cant beleive i was blessed with blue eyes, wavy thin blond hair and a small skinny frame, yet i still want to change my body.. what a shame.

  • i get what you mean

i feel alienated in north america too

come to europe and asia, they are the real one who know the meaning of self-esteem :)

  • =_=

  • I appreciate this video. I can admit to liking Dove and I even think thier commercials are cool (especially the ones for older women), but that in no way makes me think they aren't out to gain as much profit as any other company out there. I don't know why so many people here are getting so bent out of shape over this parody. Good work, owsly!

  • That's kind of... creepy...

  • hahahahahahaha

  • LOL. Funneeeeeeeeee!!

  • The brown hair girl is very cute

  • paedophile, hahaha.

  • normal cute or the sexually cute?

you have to always watch out for what u said today....

  • dude, i usually laugh at just about anything, but i like that add, it is not funny. retard.

  • -.-

  • uhhh

  • right

  • It used to be, when a lil boy picked on a lil girl she would just run off and ignore him. Maybe say that he has cooties. Now when a lil boy tells a lil girl she's fat or she's ugly the lil girl runs off crying. Not because he hurt her feelings, but because she belives him. She belives that she's fat, ugly and wants to put on makeup like her mommy. Or not eat anything so she'll be skinny. Sad sad sad...

    Your movie is right though.

  • I told you Dove is hypocritical.

  • people are beautiful natural

  • good job owsly

    keep up the good work

  • LMAO!OMG This is soo true!!

    Great job!

  • funny but still, Dove is doing a great job helping kids with their self - esteem. But funny. lol

  • How are they doing a great job? What is the proof that they are helping kids with their self-esteem?

  • I dont understand why people are saying "how could you do this to Dove" etc. What do you expect when you watch a Dove parody? Don't watch it if you don't agree.

  • lol hilarious

  • I don't think there isn't a commercial objective behind the Dove campain because they would be exposed to suits by investors otherwise.

  • best i ever seen!

  • y would som1 make this mocking dove>??

  • Because every girl deserves to feel good about herself

  • lol @ the people who don't know what "parody" means.

  • poorly made.

  • obviously made by a bloke

  • actually no

  • no, what's funny is that there are people who don't know this is a parody

    hahaha

  • thoose lil girls are pretty and that girl isnt fat at all they are fine as they are

  • why did it get such a low rating? people know this is mocking dove right?

  • that´s the truth!

  • To think there r girls out there at like 4 and 5 thinking there fat and ugly.

Its some world we live in

  • Do you know why such young girls feel like that? Because other little girls and boys tell them they're ugly and they're fat etc. AND IT STICKS WITH THEM for the rest of their lives, I would know I went through the experience when I was little and I'm still effected by it.

  • stupidity has no limits.....

  • you should make a parody about some product announced by a skiny anormal-beautiful model and not about one that finaly gives a good messages and tell the truth, dont you tink?

  • Comment removed

  • funny

  • STUPID

  • LOL tht's funny and also true

  • lmao

  • lol...so awesome
