does anyone know if there is a good chance of getting in if you are not considared of financial need? please let me know im filling out the app this weekend
I attended C of O (then known as School of the Ozarks in the early 70's. The concept is a fantastic idea, where students work for their education, but a lot of strange things happened during my time there. ( Two murders, two suicides and various other incidents) The students were very clickish, but that is probably on any campus. Would I recommend going there? Yes, it was a long time ago that I was there and hopefully the political and social climate has made a complete turn around,
I was there in '77 (and amazingly can stlil get up out of a chair). Aside from the _extremely_ superduper right-wingy political environment, I absolutely loved it. Take a whole campus full of kids who are the kind who work to go there--not the kind who get their way paid by rich parents, a BMW in the dorm lot, etc., and it's unbelievable what kind of environment that creates.
@emncaity : I attended there 25 years ago and loved it, although it was alot of hard work. I was unaware of any right-wing politics on the campus. However, there were a few theologically liberal professors. When I left, Jerry Davis became president and steered the College in a right-wing Republican/ Christian fundamentalist direction. The College now resembles Jerry Falwell's institution. It is nothing like it was when you and I were there.

i attended from 2006-2010... prepare to be stifled by an administration that believes they are responsible for your privilege to attend.
