Wow!! What's with all the negative comments? A guy posting a NGD video and he gets slammed with negative comments. Who gives a F&^K if he can play or not......is it because he's got a nice guitar that you can't have? Jeeze...
@PBANDSNOW I don't think you know bloomfield. True, he isn't a pop-icon with all the fame and such and a so called "figurehead" . And almost nobody copied his style because that's just impossible. His phrasing is so different and hard to follow. If you're gonna tag a price on the rate of importance on Bloomfields playing, it wouldn't be payable. I personally think all that gibson crap isnt worth the price, because in the old days the were relatively cheaper
Only a guitarist who is a figure head of their genre should get a signature guitar. Bloomfield is, in many peoples minds, a white blues god, but he wasn’t important enough to have a $10,000 signature model.
i like the Clapton/Beanno model much better for that kinda cake. this particular finish isn't that impressive as compared to others i've seen that are breathtaking..
That doesn't sound like a les Paul to me. It doesn't have enough balls the be one. It almost sounds like you are playing through a line 6 or something of that nature.
all of a sudden...everyone is a fucking guitar god/critic/tune this guitar or i will cry...bunch of cry fucking babies .....the guy's sharing it to us.....so shut the fuck up assholes!!!!
@konshess Hey, I laugh at most new Gibsons. They cant get the wood any more, and the wood they do get they screw up with their microwave drying process. These guitars are waaaaaay overpriced.
@tramoliter I totally agree I have a 50s Terry Mcinturff that was about 4500 and NEV ER goes outta tune and sounds incredible..Gibson Les Pauls cant keep tune and are the worst value in guitar...at least Fenders..which SUCK ass also..stay in tune....I think this guitar is like 7 grand or something nuts..
@Immaculate416 There is no way that that guitar is worth $10,000. Things are way out of hand. I played one, and it does play like a dream, but $10,000? No thanks.
The knobs. Michael put that speed knob on the tone control because he spun it alot. The other knob -- the metal-top - - was added at the same time the guitar was repaired.
San Francisco luthier Minor Wilson repaired the guitar, including the binding and the trussrod cover at his shop on Brady Street. At the time, the headstock was held on with a radiator hose clamp. I played that guitar a couple of times.
I remember seeing a picture of Bloomfields guitar in an old magazine interview. There was a large section of the binding missing on one side of the fingerboard. Where did they get the 'model' for this one?? Didn't know it still existed. Cool guitar though.
@tatsandteles According to numerous sources including Gibson, the company used hundreds of photographs, provided mostly by his brother, of Mike Bloomfield playing that guitar to get the match just right---both in the actual Bloomfield reproduction, with the tailpiece crack/gash, and in this VOS version.
Too right. It's in the hands anyway. I've seen a Tokai Paul copy that looks as good as that. With some new pups it could sound as good for a grand or less.
@shakemyballs123 yeah none of the signature models are worth more than any other les paul but gibson wants to make them expensive so they do...and its bullshit
They do, it's the Melvyn Franks model. Greeny isn't part of the endorsement because of his criminal record or so I am told. It could simply be that he didn't allow it, but either way, look the guitar up, it's pretty sick.
I wonder if Gibson is gonna do a Eric Clapton modell. They already have the Slash, Jimmy Page and Mike Bloomfield. Of course its a little hard to find the exact specifications because his original was stolen. But it would be nice if they did one.
First of all, i think he has a contract with Fender, second of all in an interview, Eric said that he had a Les Paul at home, that was nearly the same model as the one that was been stolen, third of all he already has a signature Gibson. His ES-335 from 1963! (Red)

the man has a terrific talent in making every guitar he tries sound like SHIT......

1) STOP reviewing guitars and do something else instead in the shop.
2) GET FIRED PLEASE....

1) How to tune one.
2) How to play one.
3) ESPECIALLY how to pick. His making his picking hand look like he's fucking afraid of the guitar or something.
