LOL. "Is that yo' man?" I thought she was asking cuz she wanted to bring him on stage and sing to him, but didn't want to offend the lady if they were together. U betta go after what you want, Stephanie!!
I'm very positive she has a cold, because I seen her a couple of weeks after this performance, and her voice was crystal clear hitting every note which ever way she wanted.

I was wondering how long stephanie mills voice would last for her voice type, I wonder that about most singers from the 70's. Stephanie never had a loud church voice like say Jennifer Holliday or Patti Labelle which to me last alot longer. Often times those angelic voices like Deniece Williams struggle more. Stephanie still sounds good though, But i think its her legendary status that wins the crowd over and not her voice these days.
Thank you for posting. I see that she struggles sometimes but that's because she has actually used her voice to give us LIVE performances for over 35 years if not longer. She's not a fraud lyp synching and bouncing around the stage. Stephanie is one of R&B's best live singers. I will always support her and remain a loyal fan.
Sounds good to me. I don't hear anything out of the ordinary (not that I would begrudge anyone a bad night).

Keep holding up the light Ms. Mills. You are still a vocal extraordinaire!

She sounds like she has a sore throat or maybe getting sick, but she still can sing sick or not.
