I can asure you he plays as good the trumpet as the hammond, but I think he's a bit short of breath nowadays. I saw him with Mc Laughlin on guitar and Chambers on the drums, fabulous...

I saw them (Steve Gadd instead of Gene Lake), on Almuñecar, Spain, July 2010. Steve Gadd and Sanborn made me buy tickets, but then I discovered Joey... Incredible!!!

I've seen this Joey and Dave live several times, except Byron "Wookie" Landham was on drums. What a friggin powerful performance they put on!! He uses the KeyB most of the time, at the Infinity theater in CT they backline a B3 from Goff. Joey is the man!! He'll be back there on 10/16/11. Just want to add the KeyB w/o a Leslie sounds awesome.
