I've never seen a video that corresponds so wonderful to a piece of music. You capture the deepest emotions of the piece. The scenery is beautiful, very moving. In my opinion there is no better video to express the feeling of this song. You should win this competition.
I like the stark contrast of dark & light, of despare & hope, of being lost & finding faith to live on. This Video tells the story of the song with profound deepth & insight into the human condition. This Video should Win!
Burke all the landscape scenes are so quality, the best for sure, I really really hope that they can see how good those shots are! besides I looked at other video's and yours is by far the highest quality.
I really like Burke Doeren's Lost? Video. It is the Best Video that I have seen in the Coldplay Video Competition. I hope Burke and his group are picked as the Winners by Coldplay. I will Rate this Video with 5 Stars!
I really like Burke Doerne's Lost? Video. It is the Best Video that I have seen in the Coldplay Video Competition. I hope Burke and his group are picked as the Winners by Coldplay. I will Rate this Video with 5 Stars!
Each time I watch Burke Doeren's Lost? Video I see more detail and I relate more to the story in the song. I enjoy watching this Video a lot. I will give it the 5 Stars that it deserves! Great Work! I am looking forward to seeing more from Burke Doeren. Maybe someday Burke will make a Video with Coldplay.
Burke your Lost? Video is so much like the style of a Coldplay Video that you should Win the Coldplay Lost? Video Competition. It would be great for you to remake your Video with Chris Martin. You deserve 5 Stars! We all hope that Coldplay agrees with the Viewers Rating and pick you as the Winner!
Burke Doeren and Tim Gerald accurately interpreted Coldplays Viva la Vida song Lost? and filmed a Music Video with creative composition, complex contrast and expressive imagery to convey and define their story of overcoming despair with faith and hope. The cinematography is visionary. The acting is convincing of the deeper message of the story. The lighting and scenery transports the viewer into empathy and understanding of feeling Lost? and finding inspiration to live on. Bravo! Encore!
Burke Doeren and Tim Geralds Lost? Video is the only Entry of the 812 Entries in the Coldplay Lost? Video Competition that is Rated with 4 Stars! This Video is the closest in Coldplay Style and it deserves 5 Stars!
I felt the emotion of the song as I watched this video. The video connected me to the music instead of competing with the music. The only thing that would move me more would be if Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will were in it.
What would have made this music video so much more better would be to have two people with internal struggles (instead of one), and have the MV switch from one person to the other... That way you have a variety of clips and have it so that in the end, the two characters come together and play out the last few seconds of the song out in the desert. Nonetheless, I thought that this was a good music video and you did well in matching up the mood of the song with your shots!
i dunno man, watching a guy look at a piece of paper, walk around the desert, and then play a keyboard in the desert isnt exactly the most captivating thing in the world. but all the shots do look really nice.
what do you mean, where's the plot? it's got plot! something on that paper is holding him down, and he's wandering searching for an escape. it's vague and beautiful.
Besides, it's a coldplay music video, not a fucking Dickens classic. it doesn't need a ridgid plotline

What kind of camera did you use to shoot this and what program did you use to edit it?

as always, beautifully edited.
the desert is very visually captivating.
the story is abstract and at times, questionable, but ultimately it all works.
nice job
