So Cal Hospitals are now being paid 38 cents on the dollar for MediCare, MediCaid and other public services since this Health Care Law as passed. Hospitals are making cuts across the board in order to try to stay in business. While the number of patients have increased, staff and Administrative Costs are being slashed right and left. Wait times have increased drastically while services and programs are being cut. U can't force hospitals to stay in business or hire med staff - now what?

Okay, it's not perfect but I know if I get ill or injured I will never have to pay for a thing. If my country can bail out banks it better be looking after me first, which it does.
As another Brit I can only imagine it comes down to money. If you pay taxes for a public system and you are lucky enough not to need to use it much/at all then you are effectively paying for someone else's treatment. I know not all Americans feel this is a bad thing but it seems the loudest voices do. A bit of income tax is a small price to pay for the security of knowing medical care is there if/when anyone needs it. It's not perfect but it's an amazing achievement and does great things.

So Cal Hospitals are now being paid 38 cents on the dollar for MediCare, MediCaid and other public services since this Health Care Law as passed. Hospitals are making cuts across the board in order to try to stay in business. While the number of patients have increased, staff and Administrative Costs are being slashed right and left. Wait times have increased drastically while services and programs are being cut. U can't force hospitals to stay in business or hire med staff - now what?

Wow, so insurance companies and hospitals have never made mistakes. VA has a 93% satisfaction rating -- higher than any insurance plan.
Medicare is not broke. Anyone who says so is lying. There are adjustments it needs, but to say its broke is wrong.
National Parks and Highways are sucessful government programs. Fox News told its robots to say that there has never been a successful government program -- and there are two for your example.

1st of all currently my PRIVATE ins is taken out of my pay BEFORE taxes (it's a non-taxed deduction) which after Obamacare, private ins will be a TAXED deduction. I will continue to keep my private ins after Obamacare, which means I will be paying for my private ins which will go UP in premium, paying MORE taxes on that, and paying taxes so you and everyother lazy piece of shit can have THEIR coverage. It will be cheaper because if a million people put up the 300 a month they have to pay for health care and their employer puts up the 300 he puts in and the 300 he puts into workmen's comp, and the people who make over 250, 000 (not you by the way) go back to their original tax rate of 39% instead of 36% we will be able to pay for the health plan and cover everyone for everything.

I've worked in medicine, and it's an f'ing joke when you see the prices on some of the most important medications -- let alone how they were first in line to help shove that Medicare Part D debacle down everyone's throat (price controls? bargaining? I think its funny you took all the bait, but I will give you credit about the military for certain. I am quite aware of the inefficiencies I just like messing with the ignorant masses that would normally NEVER say anything bad about the military (unless its a decorated war veteran who happens to be a Democrat). The Post Office may be having some hard times, they are still pretty highly efficient just the same. Improvements ARE necessary to both though. Don't get me started on the VA either.

Can someone explain to a Brit why people are not liking this bill for free health care? We have it and I along with the rest of the country wouldn't change it for anything. Okay, it's not perfect but I know if I get ill or injured I will never have to pay for a thing. If my country can bail out banks it better be looking after me first, which it does.

As another Brit I can only imagine it comes down to money. If you pay taxes for a public system and you are lucky enough not to need to use it much/at all then you are effectively paying for someone else's treatment. I know not all Americans feel this is a bad thing but it seems the loudest voices do. A bit of income tax is a small price to pay for the security of knowing medical care is there if/when anyone needs it. It's not perfect but it's an amazing achievement and does great things.

Where is our government going to get the money from? All they seem to be doing is borrow more money from foreign countries to support a war we aren't supposed to be in, and our government keeps printing money for Bailouts for the banks. I'm not sure why they would care for the banks... or maybe they care about the Federal Reserve, which is the mother of all.

On late term abortions, the baby is chemically burned alive in the womb & then born -- or -- they are punctured in the head as they're emerging from the vagina. That changed NOTHING -- the mother is "giving birth" regardless

Your comment is misleading, the christian right is few when compared to the US as a whole. More individuals are slowly making the transition into atheism each year, they are releasing the shackles of faith based paranoia and silly dogmatic traditions. You may not like it but each year the number of atheists grows exponentially larger, people are being aware of the fairy tales with more social networking tools being developed.
