this isnt exactly what he said but it was something like
"I made the song when machines rock because i was hoping that the press qould pick up on it and call the new genre i was making 'machine rock' but unfortunatly they never picked up on it and just called it new wave instead".
Look I know I'm a lifelong numan fan and my opinion may appear to be a little biased BUT.........Has Replicas got the best Album cover of all time or what...Loads there for the imagination to get carried away with !!
Gary is my true husband for life and so is Bowie. What the heck is that floating white ball at the bottom right corner I always wanted to know what it was.
@doubleder You expect me to scared of a floating white ball with a stripe going through it?? I assume it morphs into something scary later like that android from the future in T2? LOL LOL
@jrmetmoi its his logo i think look on the back of the album in the eye its the same that's how you can tell a Machman from a Human we have a round pupil they have a straight line scary and cool
Bought this album in High School. I was a Black Sabbath/rock music listener.....during that time, but I couldn't stop listening to this album. Excellant music is excellant music. One of the best tracks on the album(along with: "I Nearly Married a Human"). Thanks for posting!
The 'Clack Clack Clack Clack Clack Clack Clack Clack' part of this 'tunage' and the Bass slide @ 1.54 Makes Me wanna Puke its that good ! ! bought it in 79 and will be buried with me ! ;) John MF Stark
Loads of ppl have got aspergers and don't even know that they have it, but it is just a social thing and doesn't mean that they are unitelligent infact quite the opposite.
Boring.

@P8290970 You cant get better than Replicas artwork for feeling of being in the dark future.
Even Bladerunner does not come close.
YOu have to of course have grown up in that punk New Wave era to appreciate what I am saying.
