Oh man. this takes me back to a great time in my life. gettin out of the boxes. learnin theres more to guitar than the jerk off blues scale. thanks frank rip.
omg! I could only find a live version sung by other ppl!! the original! that rocked my childhood! for some reason my favorite since day one.... "I just might have something to sayeheyyyyyy"
@fortheloveoftunes I think Alice Cooper opened for him a few times back in the late 60's and early 70's, but that was before Alice was the Alice we all know, this was back in the pre-iconic make up and acid droppingly weird era of Alice.
Get that Hammond. Dang. This whole album, I didn't appreciate it when I was 18 but now I'm in my 50's and have had a few decades to absorb the complexity and awesomeness. I commend the 15-year-old kid who told me way back then that Zappa was worth listening to and we (um) smoked mega weed and soaked it up.
dumbass. that's jean luc ponte, the world class violinist. shitty solo indeed. oh. THAT shitty solo. more like the grandpa of shred. retract aforementioned dumbass reference.
A masterpiece years ahead of it's time, George Duke, Jeanluc ponty, and the guitar master himself Frank Zappa, all render golden classics on each solo. Sit back and enjoy.
R.I.P. Frank! Your body of work lives on! Still never ceases to amaze me and gives me great pleasure and so much joy! Thanks for giving Jean-Luc Ponty the opportunity to do the incredible violin solo. This song is unquestionably a true masterpeice!
Also great bass guitar.

What a carnival ride of three different solos really makes this song.

I bought this album in '79, and recently I noticed that every guitar solo are gritty, aggressive sounding..... Montana is the best solo on the album.

@MrAske Its not a guitar solo. Its an electric viola.
chocolatedonut31 4 months ago
@chocolatedonut31 Yes, before the guitar solo there's a violin solo, but at 3:36 the guitar solo starts

@thrashmetalkills Seriously, dude? Nugent would need a MAJOR upgrade to kiss Frank's ass.
