The new version is... cuter I guess. The new music (Baroque Hoedown in G Major) makes it sound more cute than classic :P

I don't see why it would make sense to destroy the Blue Fairy. Logistically, I mean. When they took out the Pinocchio and Snow White units, they didn't destroy them, they were just put into storage, correct? So I wonder why they would just scrap the Blue Fairy, unless they plan on completely re-doing the float.

uh ok the original parade was better, better music, better sounds to me, but the floats do look better than they did. they need to bring the blue fairy back. its just not the same at CA, it should be brung back to main street at Disneyland, its more magical

I'm loving this parade so much... The floats looks so bright and beautiful and the pixie dust effect is just awesome.

I like this soundtrack, it's a lot more richer and organic than the original.

The Tinkerbell float is beautiful.

That being said, the Blue Fairy needs to come back now. There was something much more, regal about her that made everything seem more magical, a MUCH better fit to open the parade. I gotta agree with Disneyphile13, she was so iconic to the parade. Tinkerbell is just a little too hyper for me here. But again, the float looks wonderful.

And the rest of the floats also look AMAZING as well.

Is that a hot air balloon that Tink is riding in? Why the heck does it make sense to have a fairy with wings use a hot air balloon? I thought she could fly....

Also, the Blue Fairy was the main icon of that parade. I think that Tink should be sitting atop a large flower and put further back into the parade and the Blue Fairy be returned. Right now, it's hard to even see her. It's like she's consumed by the float.

the hot air balloon is an allusion to the second Tinkerbell movie that is coming out. she uses the balloon when she needs to fly long distances

For the most part.  The Opening, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and Snow White sections are taken directly from TDLEP: DreamLights. Pete's Dragon was taken too but the orchestral parts were replaced.

there's no reason why the Blue Fairy can't lead the two Pinochio floats. I hope they reconsider her and bring her back next year. She's one of the few floats original from 1972.

She'll probably only come back once the whole "Shove Tinkerbell down their throats" method ends. The main reason I think they can't put the blue fairy before Pinnochio is because they have to keep the parade at such a time limit or something. The other reason why they took out dumbo to put in the two new ones. (Other than the fact they couldn't find someone as energetic as the last CM to play King John on the dumbo part...)

Love the changes to the units, especially the updated butterfly, Cheshire Cat, Frog, etc. I do miss the Don Dorsey elements of the turtles, fireflies, snails, centerpiede and the score but I'll manage and get accustomed. When I see this live in the weeks to come, I won't even recognize the parade with all of the changes. Thanks for the video!
