Sorry John. Gotta disagree. Having been in the car several times feverishly glancing around trying to find the sign to tell us what the limit is, I know it's difficult on some roads as it is. Imagine going on a whole journey having no idea what the speed limits on any of the roads are going to be! The people used to the road, and the limit being 50, will drive 50 - the ones reading the sign will drive 70. There would be chaos.
