er, sorry but until 'IB' was made with Waltz in it, he was 'just' an actor who mainly played in TV series and some movies which weren't very important. So I don't think that it's a shame not to know him until 2009... and she made some little joke, that's all, don't hang her for it O.o

How is it a lack of education when you don't know every actor no matter what roles he is (or has been) playing? She is rather taking the side of her hollywood collegues of which NO ONE knew Waltz before IB.

And nearly everybody from IB was an actor before the movie, there is nothing special about it... again, I think you're exaggerating about her. And all this has nothing to do with her acting skills which were not good in IB, but in many other movies.

She has lived in the US for a long time as far as I know. I don't blame her for not knowing who Waltz was. It was just the way she said it that made her look dumb.

As for her acting, I thought she did a great job, execpt for the scene where she had to fake a German accent-that was too cartoonish and it was just....bad.

I love that he is winning all these awards for his role, because he really deserves them, but I do believe that he is pretty much a shoe in for the Oscars Supporting Actor award anyway.

I think they could move him to the Best Actor category and he could still win. He is right up there with the best, and can easily compete with Clooney, Bridges and Freeman. There is no doubt about that.

I think there is a reason why the Academy Awards put Waltz in the catagory: Supporting Actor.

There are a lot Jews in the jury, and I think they wouldn't give the biggest Oscar (Lead Actor) to a guy who plays a Jew Hunter.Also now they have a good reason to give Bridges the Oscar for best lead actor.He has nominated 4 times before and now it's his time.
