@dragon987000 No. That is an awful idea. The NES is incapable of doing that sort of compression and interpolation in real time. Ideally, you'd listen to this in WAV, but YouTube doesn't allow that. Also, there are probably better 8b arranges, out there.

@UltimaXG2 Yeah, but the NES had a lower sample rate (lower than 44000 samples per second, like this song) so the compression to 240p also lowers the music quality, certainly lowering the sample rate to similar levels of the NES. It's not whole wrong what he said, lowering the video quality may let the audio be closer to NES quality...

@NefosG Nope. The NES actually produced sounds in real time, in a fashion similar to MIDI. You should try playing games on the NES, and working in Famitracker, and fiddling around with emulators. You can learn a lot. Ever since I did all that stuff, I've come to understand that higher quality is the way to go, since it gets you closer to the original sound. :L
