It is so good that there are still People who remember the Master, and who make such wonderful remembrances of him!... I think the selected scenes are some of the best and this "travelling/memorial-like" music suits them well in this case. Keep up the good stuff, Gosinka!! :))
PS.: I'd be interested: skolko raz Ti uzhe videl filmi Tarkovskogo? :)
Every image in each of Tarkovsky's films to me is like a very very strong and wonderful painting. I would like to hold each image and never let go off it. But inherent to the medium and not unlike real life and lucid dreams experienced intensely, the images move and go on and change into other scenes... Tarkovsky's art is full of love. He invites us to see and perceive with deep love. Actually, I feel this is the only thing worth living for.
After watching these great movies by Tarkovsky with their poetic images--images as essential to the film as the dialogue, images so beautiful, it's difficult to watch most of the current crop of crap coming at us these days. While Tarkovsky lets the camera linger, moves the camera carefully, thoughtfully giving us a chance to see--to really see!
Directors now and their frenetic camera movements, constant cuts and uninspired "spinning," drive me absolutely crazy. Learn from the master.
truly the greatest director of all time (in my opinion) he conjures up the most mesmerising and startlingly beautiful images and combines it with powerful music and characters. i have to say i didn't mind the music used. surprisingly enough it fitted quite well with the visual element and all
Really cool thumbnail portait of the artist - just enough to whet the apetite - and enough to make me pull out some DVD's I haven't watched in a bit. Thanks!
This is absolutely beautiful. What is the name of the movie please I would love to watch it?. He was a very talented Director. Thank you for posting this.Kind Regards Isabel
I believe you you just started to discover the art of Andrei Tarkovsky...and I'm sure you'll enjoy this experience. This clip is actually a compilation of several scenes from some of his movies like: Andrei Rublev, Solaris, Stalker, The Ivan's childhood, etc. I think you can find this films for rent in some specialized stores or they may be even running from time to time in your town's Cinemateque. Cheers!!!
Thank you so much for your reply. I have started searching for those beautiful movies. I am very much looking forward to watching them. I am sure that they will be beautiful. Thank you again and I hope you have a great day. Cheers Isabel

Agreed. It's like putting Michaelangelo's works to music like this.

I've never seen a movie by Tarkovksy (unless I saw a film he did but forgot he was the director) - I have heard of him but that is all.

The music does not fit to the images in my opinion. Tarkovski is more sophisticated.
