  • Are they trying to sound like the Rolling STones or am I stoned?

  • my old best bud John hurley co-wrote this little jewel. I think I maybe liked common people and son of a preacherman a little better though

  • Is Larry Raspberry Matt Damon's father?? The resemblance is uncanny!!

  • Jimmy "The Mouth of the South" Hart on the left at :11 with a soul patch under his chin lol. Lead singer Larry Raspberry sitting down with guitar at :25.

  • The girl in front with the black and white bikini can really shake it.

  • Wow... I never knew the Mouth of the South was able to sing too. Mind is blown.

  • This was one side of a great two sided hit single (the flip was Brown Paper Sack). Love it!!

  • It´s from the movie "It´s a bikini world" from the yeahr 1967.

  • Bieber should cover this!

  • This movie has a few great scenes with bands in it!

  • Good one. Thanks.

  • Guy with bare chest and tight white pants dancing at 1:58 of video certainly spreads it.

  • Yay. I'm watching this movie right now. I'm so glad the song is on YouTube.

  • Music like this makes me happy.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • now if jimmy hart was in this vid, they didnt show him.maybe they did!!there is a keyboard player that they show one time at 1:12/13,to the left behind the drummer, that might be him.i dont know when or how long he was in the band.

  • He was the guy on the left standing on the podium. He took over lead singer duties after Larry Raspberry left, and he stayed until 1970.

  • You Can Hear Jimmy Hart's Megaphone Voice in this Song.

  • I'm thinkin he's the backgound singer on the right

  • Nope, background singer on the left.

  • Which One is Jimmy Hart?

  • This is a fun little song, but the flipside, "Brown Paper Sack" is a great garage rock classic.

  • Yeah the great Larry Rasberry on vocals and guitar. His band in the 70's called the Highsteppers were the Best!!

  • You got that right the Highsteppers made the rest of Southern Rock sound like wallpaper...!!

  • I remember this one also Gentrys did a version

of "everyday you have to cry "

  • Good song. The Gentrys do have more than one song. The only one I knew was " Keep On Dancing".

  • This is from the movie, "It's a Bikini World," originally released in 1967 but likely recorded much earlier (probably November or December '65)

  • You're correct, this movie was shot in late 1965. We know 1965 because of the songs...and even though this movie takes place in summer, we see Christmas decorations and theater marquees with December dates when the characters go driving downtown, and we see trees that have lost their leaves in the scenes in local towns. (A few years ago I added this information as a "goof" in the IMDB for this movie, because I loved pointing it out to people when I'd show them the movie. :>)

  • at 1:20 theres an old franco american sign

  • nice bass sound..flatwound bongyness

  • Jimmy Hart.

  • No sexual innuendo in that at all! LOL this was great!
