@TennisAnnalyst "You need complex statistical formulas to determine what is likely to happen... The proportion π of good shots in the population y (shot made in response) could be estimated by the interval created by adding and subtracting Zα/2 times the square root of ρ(1-ρ)/n to the average of the sample y where n is the number of elements in sample y and ρ the proportion of shots that are good in the sample."
@TennisAnnalyst too many variables. what about ability of players, speed of ball, court positioning, and position of players. some shots that you think are offensive against better players will be not be.
Hitting high loops is sometimes an offenssive play. It all depends on your mind set. If you hit a high topspin moonball to your opponents backhand for example in hope to get a short ball from him... well thats an aggressive play. But if your only intent is to get the opponent to hit an unforced error, well then that is a dinkers way to play.

@TennisAnnalyst um you can't change the circumstances of the situation... if he intent is offensive--and you don't execute, are you offensive?

@TennisAnnalyst you can get a defensive reply from a high loop dink to the baseline
