I really don't like the new Lola that much. She developed as a weird country girl and turned into a dumb bimbo. Can't a girl just keep her personality? OMG, I'm had it with this 50/50 hating on the Looney Tunes show. So I'm gonna put my 2 cents out right now. First of all, I've always loved the looney tunes. Always will. But I love this show too. It's got good writing, jokes for children and adults, and in my opinion the characters have not been changed. Bugs is still always 3 steps ahead of everyone and always has the last word, Daffy is still a narcisistic little phsycopath, and Lola, I like her 100 times better now.

Who cares if it has a touch of Moderation and a slight "Sitcom" feel to it, It's a really good show that I enjoy watching everyday. Horrible. It's altering a classic. It's like trying to recreate and add "improvements" to the Mona Lisa- can't be done. They totally ruined the characters. Besides, I doubt they'd make Speedy Gonzales say "ANDALE ANDALE ARRIBA ARRIBA" because everything these days has to be politically correct. They even changed some of the characters' voices. Honestly, i think this is one of the better shows on Cartoon Network these days. It's definitely not perfect, but i don't mind it. I prefer the classic cartoons since that's what i grew up with, but that's just me. For me, the show format is nice, but the character designs are just lacking. I just watched the Comic-Con promo, and they said that, "We've kept all the characters exactly the same.", and obviously, they haven't. But, nonetheless, i do enjoy this show. In my opinion, it gets a 3/5.
The character's design could be better and the show can't be compared with the original series, but it's sure much better than today's crappy cartoons.

I'm not exactly crazy about this show. It's pretty standard fare, and any other characters could be exchanged for the Looney Tunes in this world. I get the direction they're trying to go in, but for me, it just doesn't quite gel well for them to be set in suburbia in a standard sitcom setting. I actually do not like their Merry Melodies segment that much, but I find that their character is explored a bit better in them than in the actual storyline segments.
I thought looney tunes were back as in shotguns, explosions, poison, space, and evil people back. This is basically "The Daffy Show". Not saying that the show is bad but I expected more creativity and imagination and for the characters to not change THAT much.
The Looney Tunes Show is the best thing to happen to these characters since their heyday. Everything in between, like Tom and Jerry, was simply putting a 'new' spin on the same stuff that was done before no more, no less. Daffy steals the show, period. And, oddly, I like 'ditzy ADD' Lola compared to the shoved down your throat 'girl power' Lola of Space Jam. Hate the 'videoes' though.

Actually it's not the popular opinion at all. Sorry to burst your sad little bubble. Look at the likes on any given Looney Tunes show video here on youtube. That alone speaks for it's self. The "BooHoo fuck anything new" bandwagon that you are on is actually a vocal minority. =] The show since it's debut has continued to get raving reviews. Cartoon Network isn't in the business of catering to 30 something year olds. They're demographic is young adults. Humor evolves like everything else.

The original Looney tunes had strong undertones of racism(Bugs imitating demeaning stereotypical black mannerism in many early episodes), sexism, extreme violence (i.e it's episode that depicted world war 2), space jam's lola was blatantly overly sexualized. The list goes on. By today's standards many of the original Looney Tunes where controversial, very insensitive to racial issues, and socially ignorant.

They totally ruined Bugs Bunny's character he is no longer the tricky intelligent rabbit he used to be. I don't see why they didn't just redo the show like the original with Elmer and Sam trying to kill Bugs eventually getting injured. Or at least they should've kept them their original personalities.

Too me the original is like them being at work doing what they do best. This sitcom based series is like them in every day life away from their jobs. It's sooo interesting to see these characters doing normal everyday things. I seriously laugh my ass of every episode as I enjoy the acting and mostly adult content. I really hope the series makes it.

The reason for this new style is that every time they try to revive the series based around the old styles, the show ends up not comparing as well and it ultimately fails. Here, they are taking a different direction with the characters to try to avoid that.
I still prefer the Space Jam Lola, she was strong and spunky, this one is kinda annoying and ditzy. Then again, who knows, in the episode "Members Only", she did get hit in the head with a tennis ball. Maybe that flipped her personality.....

people complain not because of new style, changed characters or anything, they complain because its boring to watch after 5-10 eps, lack of jokes originality (e.g. looney tunes character does something stupid and then human character looks at you), poor plots and so the list goes on...

IMO I find the Looney Tunes Show to have more of a Modern Sense of Humor as well as a More Mature Sense of Humor. I know diehards will find this series outta Sync with the older cartoons, but Honestly I like it. There's alot of inside jokes for Teenagers/Adults the characters are Modernized and also the fact that the Humor and Sarcasm is more down to Earth adds to the show and they didn't have to use Acne TNT to get the same effect either LOL

@emsi96 Totally agree. I'm a BIG time Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera fan, been watching since I was 6-7 years old in the mid 90's. This show is hilarious; I was a bit skeptical at first, but subsequently it just became more and more enticing for some reason. I love it. Especially, the mature humor and the modern feel to it. They did turn Lola into a complete ditz, but she still has me cracking up. This show is INDEED great.

How can anyone dare to continue the Looney Tunes legacy and not have it be just as innovative, cutting edge, well written, hilarious, incredibly scored, and as well animated as the original series?? Everyone who has had anything to do with the original series (alive or dead) must either be palming their face in disgust or spinning in their graves. I didn't think Bugs was to bad, hes still Intelligent but they made him more of the "real" Character in the show. Daffy is mostly the same, Sam is the same. Monster I hate though. Hes not suppose to be some kid lacking confidence hes suppose to be a MONSTER! Foghorn Leghorn is the same though. Overall I like the show.

If they wanted this "new Lola" sort of character, I wish they would've just introduced a new one to contribute that personality. I adore Space Jam, & the REAL Lola is one of my favorite cartoon characters. It's VERY dismaying to me that they changed her so completely, such that the only things remaining are her name & (basic) appearance. This feels so disconcertingly wrong, & I miss her, along w/ the old Gossamer & Bugs & everyone else who was altered for the worse.

They totally ruined Bugs Bunny's character he is no longer the tricky intelligent rabbit he used to be. I don't see why they didn't just redo the show like the original with Elmer and Sam trying to kill Bugs eventually getting injured. Or at least they should've kept them their original personalities.

THIS IS THE BIGGEST INSULT TO THE FAMOUS CARTOON FRANCHISE OF ALL TIME. I'm sorry, it truly is. I saw a few episodes, and, as a fan of the old classic Looney Tunes cartoons, I can't believe what kids have to watch here. The slapstick is gone, the characters are now like modern average people instead of their original selves , and it became a sitcom. Having Looney Tunes into a modern sitcom is not meant to be. THIS IS WORSE THAN SPACE JAM AND LOONEY TUNES BACK IN ACTION.

@FilmFTW1 I disagree! I'm 35 and I've been a huge fan of the original and easily welcome this new series. I learned to separate the two. Too me the original is like them being at work doing what they do best. This sitcom based series is like them in every day life away from their jobs. It's sooo interesting to see these characters doing normal everyday things. I seriously laugh my ass of every episode as I enjoy the acting and mostly adult content. I really hope the series makes it.

Let me admit this: the only thing GOOD about this show is the Wild E. Coyote/Road Runner CGI shorts. Those are truly faithful to the classics. As for the rest, well... The reason for this new style is that every time they try to revive the series based around the old styles, the show ends up not comparing as well and it ultimately fails. Here, they are taking a different direction with the characters to try to avoid that.
