  • @panzersRULE because we came to earth to suffer i think

  • When I was a kid in the 50's, my parents used to take me to the restaurant just outside the gates of Paramont Studios. They had a Jukebox with a 16mm projector built into it and it was loaded with just these kinds of "Videos".

  • @MrMartymusic nice memories!

  • @MrMartymusic

    was that the formosa cafe?

  • Not the Formosa Cafe. That's a WHOLE other place. No this was on Melrose right along side the famous entry gates.

  • what was the name of it? my mom worked at paramount for awhile.

  • Sorry, I just for the life of me can't remember the name. I've always been bad with names. But I'm great on locations.

  • thats ok, you were a kid!

  • Hey, my body says I'm 60 but my head still says 18! I looked it up on Google maps and the building no longer exists. Bronson and Melrose ave.

  • just like c.c. browns is no longer on hollywood blvd or anywhere. hot fudge sundae to die for. located next to the bldg that was an apartment where laurel and hardy lived. all torn down to build the kodak theater i believe.

  • WOW nice and now then come Mr. Jeepers Creepers and hack you head down xDDD

  • Beautiful !! bravo!! I remember this from the movie "Sleepless in Seattle"

  • Oh Yeah, I Remember This One!! Boy, This Is An Oldie! Thankyou ...Anita..

  • You fail.

  • Artie Shaw/Johnny Mercer WOW!

  • I love this song, but it scares me..... after I saw the film eheheh!

  • Yes, I'm currently waiting for that monster because I heard that song. It always comes when the song is played!

  • Friend, you would be better off, if you avoid horror movin pictures. They are psychological poison. SPURN THE MUSE!!

  • oh mi gad

  • brilliant

  • I remember when you had all 10 minutes of Symphony of Swing on here before

  • Thats funny because Symphony of Swing can be found on Google video.

  • That's funny because I originally tried posting the whole video, but it was denied because it violated copyright. That's why I had to break it up.

  • Halleys4th,Where did Lady Be Good disappear to?

  • Removed because Youtube flagged it as violating copyright and disabled the audio.

  • funny that they used it for amovie haaga

  • Fine version, and Pastor sings it the way it should be sung.

No doubt these days he wouldn't get a look- in cos of his non-cliche looks.

  • Your a dumbass.

  • DUH

  • GREAT SONG!!!

  • Good song!

  • That's 22-year-old Buddy Rich on drums. Listen to the way he drives this band -- he had barely started as a professional drummer and he was already the best.

  • Have you ever heard the track of Artie, Buddy Rich, and Tony Pastor do El Rancho Grande Live. I discovered it a few years ago; after listening to a CNN interview with Artie Shaw. He stated then that it was the best performance he ever did although Buddy pushed him hard enough to want to kill him. It would be great if someone had a tape of that. In my CD you can hear how Buddy pushed, my goodness it is the most wonderful thing to hear.

  • um, sorry...Buddy was in vaudeville as a kid drummer from the age of 18 months. True, he didn't concentrate on jazz/big band music 'til he was 20, but he was definitely a long-time Professional Drummer by the time this clip was made.

  • I disagree. Gene Krupa out bested him throughout both of their lives.

  • im goona play the clarinet

  • i know but da song is so dam old i like the hip hop version that played on darries radio lol i loved dary so much

  • A true classic is "Next Stop Pottersville" now that's what music is about. And i refuse to listen to this ruffian jeepers creepers thug-mafia music. These hoodlum, italian street thugs just want to glorify the "mob life". Give me a break, let's take it back to "Next Stop Pottersville" and the classic music..you know without all of these punk "words"

  • HA HA HA

  • This is real music! I wish people would listen to this stuff now. Kids my age this this stuff is lame... its so not!

  • I agree. I am only twenty and I have always loved the big boys: Cab Calloway, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, of course Glenn Miller, and many more. It is sad when children these days try to put more "metal" or "punk" into music that was good without all that junk. Of course I am not saying that it is all bad music. But, by far, this is my favorite stuff.

  • Tony Pastor gave Rosemary and Betty Clooney their start, when he had his own band.

  • omg i love part 1 and 2 :D but i got a lil scared :/ but i like the music

  • that is music, i wish "modern" musician would produce such cool songs again

  • omg

    the movie is AWESOME!

  • lol this is the first time i have ever heard Artie Shaw talk. hes amazing!

    -Star-

  • aja, vielen dank für die nachricht,.....:-D

  • Tony Pastor would go on to lead a band of his own later on.

  • wieso ging das nicht?und was heisst jeepers creepers auf deutsch????????????

  • heißt so viel wie "mensch meier".

  • Would like your opinions viewers: Toronto All Star Big Band playing an Artie Shaw version of " Oh Lady Be Good" I think the band would appriceiate comments on You Tube thanks

  • I love this song!!!

  • thats creepy ihhhhhhjjjjjjjj:$

  • this is the sound track to the jeepers creepers series isnt it.

  • no shit

  • did they no wat came after this song? they made a frikin horror movie lol, curse the song

  • The drummer, of course, is Buddy Rich.

  • Brilliant! Best version I have ever heard, thanks for posting it!

  • So this is the original song of the movie?

  • No, the original song was by Harry Warren and Johnny Mercer for the movie "Going Places" filmed about a year before this video. Louis Armstrong was the original performer.
