I watched Wonderfalls first, after that Pushing Daisies and then Dead like me. I must say that I love Wonderfalls the most of all. It has the strongest cast if you ask me. I just love all the characters! All of them are funny in their own way. Plus Lee Pace and Tyron Leitso are of course really good looking!!

I discovered this show on DVD a year or two ago and was totally enchanted by it.

If memory serves, this was on at the same time as Joan or Arcadia which lasted a handful of seasons.

I never got the chance to check this show out at the time because it was canceled so fast.

Don't compare this to Dead Like Me-that show had at least two seasons and a movie.

@CynicalHippie I think these shows are just too good to last. Another thing about them is that if you stretch them out too thin then they will lose their magic. That's why all of those great BBC shows are classics...they know when to end the story. I love great creative shows, but by season 2 of Pushing Daisies it was starting to get to be too much. Quality not quantity is key here. Give me one season of Freaks and Geeks over 6 seasons of Lost any day!

Your mom was incorrect... 'Wonderfalls' was written and performed by Andy Partridge (who *was* the lead singer and primary writer for the band XTC) although the theme from "Malcolm in the Middle" ('Boss of Me') was written by TMBG... both really fun songs!

Why, why, why did they kill this? Because formula shows, like the show Friends, can pull in just as much money without half the cost. It takes time and money to make intelligent shows but formula shows are fast and cheap. Its why there are more fast food joints in town than great restaurants. Its about the money not the magic.

I just discovered this show and I am obsessed, bryan Fuller is a genius and it's not fair that all these great shows (pushing daisies for example) are getting cancelled. Also wonderfalls just gets better and better as the season progresses, so its a real shame that the entire season wasn't broadcast on tv. :(

But it at least got two seasons on the air.

Typical FOX- a network known early on for slaughtering promising or decent shows.

If you want to piss me off, bring up Harsh Realm by the creator of X Files, a terrific show that axed by Fucking FOX.

Bryan Fuller has the worst luck ever. He makes 3 HIGHLY intelligent, original, and funny shows and people does not watch it. All of it is amazing. Pushing Daises, Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls. I figure that after working at Heroes in Season 1 that he finally got what he diserves. But no. People does not care for his mad genius. All they want is mindless cops, doctors, and reality shows. Im happy that Bryan is working in Heroes again. I hope they bring that show to what it was when it was amazing

I understand the creator of Dead like me (Bryan Fuller) went on to work on this after doing DLM (which at least is getting a direct to dvd movie - hopefully to tie up loose ends)

It got cancelled after four episodes. It's day was moved three times. Each time going up against one of the highest rated shows at that time, including Friends (in its last season) and The Apprentice (in its first season). And yet FOX didn't consider any of this as the reason for its low ratings. So now we're stuck with crap shows like Trading Spouses and hour-long repeats of other shows.

By the time I'd heard about Wonderfalls it was already cancelled, but I rented the dvd of it recently, and it was a really cool show.
