  • PS @Search4diabetescure I am what I am and no banging on about whether I "chose" to be gay or was "born" gay will change that. I suggest you go and hound some other section of society because this gay guy doesn't give a damn what you think or the bullcrap you are spouting. Without evidence your words are hollow. All you have proved on here is that you are bigoted, closed minded and arrogant!!! Come back when you and your ilk have an argument you can back up with fact......

  • I feel sorry for bigots like @Search4diabetescure because they have spent their lives having their opinions formed for them. He/she is probably deeply conservative or a religious fundementalist or both (poor thing) and cannot think for themselves. You were obviously born that way because why would you choose to be like that? So in that vein S4dc understand we are born gay as why would I choose a lifestyle that people like you vilify, try to bully and generally try to make my life a living hell?

  • Also- to anyone who thinks people choose homosexuality? My question is for you: why would someone choose to be harrassed and tortured eeryday of their life? It just doesnt make any sense

  • You are so inspirational :) i completely agree- i am a huge gay rights activist, and i hope to keep fighting for marriage equality so one day it can be legal everywhere (and my two best friends can get married in this state!) also, i have a question: i was wondering if it wouldn't be too hard for you to go into the bullying that happened to you. Hearing other people's stories really helps to fuel my spirit for equality. It's okay if its too painful, i was just wondering :)

  • @search4diabetescure Where exactly is your evidence for that? Maybe you should check out James' "Where do gays come from?" video and do some research.

  • To the idiot below me. How dare you! Did you choose to be a bigot? Get a hold of yourself and realise that not everyone is the same. Gimp

  • @Search4diabetescure So you fly in the face of all scientific proof. You also deny statements by the W.H.O. and the A.P.A. that homosexuality is not a mental illness.

You're not exactly someone to be taken seriously, are you?

  • @Search4diabetescure Tell that to my best friend who is gay.. and is lesbian sister.. and their lesbian aunt...

  • @Search4diabetescure It's not simply a choice.. But ignorance and bigotry are... Something tells me you haven't done a whole lot of academic research on the topic... Just a feeling...

  • @Search4diabetescure Hang on.... if homosexuality is a mental illness, it isn't a choice. No-one chooses to have a mental illness. So you're wrong there. It has to be one or the other.

However, it is neither. I have gay friends (I'm straight) who knew as soon as they became sexually aware that they fancied the same sex. So I think it's natural, and pretty normal really.

I think you, Search4diabetescure, have a problem, and should butt out of this comment thread. John

  • @Search4diabetescure I hate to disagree with you, but strenuous amounts of research has proven that homosexuality is not a choice. It has been dismissed as a Psychological disease since the 1970s. We don't know what type of gene causes it, but brain patterns and genetics do have a say. Also, why would someone choose to be gay and willingly be taunted for it? I hate to be rude or blunt, but it would be out of character for me to not speak up. You have been mislead.

  • @Search4diabetescure How can you claim homosexuality is both a choice AND a mental illness? Where is the logic in that? If you're going to be ignorant, at least be consistant and stop contradicting yourself. You claiming it's a choice is just like if I were to say it's a choice to be diabetic. Pretty stupod,. eh? Well, you know what? So is the idea people choose to be gay. The only CHOICE is whether to be yourself or to hide who you truly are.

  • @Search4diabetescure You realise you're a homophobic twat, right?

  • Great video! I knew I was different at an early age, but didn't admit it until I was well into adult-hood.

  • Wow, you must have got bullied soooo much. Not trolling, just saying.

  • @Snarleypiano2 bwahahahah - yah, you could say that :)

  • Excellent, excellent video! You have a real way of drawing people in, and a sincerity that people can feel connected with. Keep up the good work James! :HUGGS: Love Tanya

  • You are amazing. Your videos are articulate and clever, and I completely agree with what you have to say. Also, your Christmas tree is boss. :)

  • @KittyALevin naww - thank you *hugs*

  • When I was growing up, I ALWAYS knew that I was different. I had no idea what it was at the time, but I just felt like I was different than every one around me. It wasn't until I got into junior high that I started to notice boys, but it didn't occur to me that I was gay. When I became a freshman in high school, I finally took a hard look at myself and realized, I'M GAY!! It was such a relief to finally admit it to myself.

  • So adorable!!!

  • <3

can't believe you haven't got more fans

  • @Azuraspace if you want to spread the word, I'd love your help :)

  • @DifficultNerd i've spread a few videos, hoping someone important stumbles across them, but most of my friends are straight and apathetic towards gay rights, it's not that they don't care about gays, they just don't care enough to be active supporters. which is the main problem in Australia, particularly W.A, which might as well be a different country *sigh* but, i'm off to Canada asap haha

  • @Azuraspace Well I'm really thankful for your support - I'm glad you like the videos too :)

  • @DifficultNerd no problem :) although i'm not technically gay (transsexual) , it doesn't mean i can't support other queer people :)

  • @Azuraspace You should make a video telling your story and attach it as a video response! I think it is really important to remember that i can only speak from my perspective and I'd love to hear what others think. I'm sure lots of others would want to hear it too :)

  • @DifficultNerd as soon as my boyfriend returns the memory card for my camera. i'll start considering it haha. i'm an actress but low-tech cameras make me nervous
