  • What DermochelysCoriacea said - plus I think the writers intended us to get a little crazy thinking about the new guy while watching the episode, only to be shocked by what we got in the end. ;)

    They've worked for years trying to get this story right (and they're doing brilliantly so far) and I can't imagine why they would ruin it. It could be something we expect of a lot of TV shows, but this one is different, as it's proved so often. (: Maybe we'll get some angst, but Jim/Pam are just *it*.

  • Angela isn't one of the writers. (: The actors who play Kelly, Ryan, and Toby are, though. And they're only part of a pretty big team.

  • Not a chance in hell. I will guarantee that. The writers are merely keeping us in suspense; Jim and Pam have an inviolable relationship. If anything, we should worry about Pam simply becoming preoccupied with new friends and talking with Jim less on the phone. That is far from a threat of separation, but awfully threatening to true love. The notion of an imposition of them as a couple is not even worth entertaining.
