ehh i dont kno about tuon... from the book she seems more... olive skin/ asian maybe looking you kno? but thats just my opinion.. also the seanchan seem from thier culture they talk about in the book alot more oriental than anything else
@EmperorofAwesome Tuon was always very dark skinned in the books, the pick is quite good. The Seanchan however are not remotely oriental, they are the descendants of Artur Hawking's armies which were based off all of the cities in 'the new world', although the Borderlanders are indeed Asiatic, the majority of cultures are variations on European cultures. You can assume that they would have a slight trace of the Asiatic slant of eyes, but in essence they have the white skin of Europeans.
i liked a lot. some differing opinions but love the fact hugh jackman is not your first choice for gareth bryne. and i think uno would be better played by vin diesel. and padan fain by andy serkis. but ur choices for mazrim and davram are inspired. and megan fox as berelain! she has the cunning and the body to play that. ford as tam is a superb choice. have you thought who should play the aiel? my first choice is duane johnson for rhuarc. and adrien brody for bael.
Some of these people are too pretty to be the characters. Jennifer Connelly as Elaida, Really? And yeah Megan Fox only has the looks to play Berelain, but she couldn't pull off the character's personality.
i thought that some of these ideas were genius, edward norton as padan fain, and harrison ford as tam those were great ideas. I would like to see keke palmer in a more mature serious role before i say yes but im optimistic but some of your other ideas were out of nowhere, megan fox would absolutley suck, i would pull out more less well known actors like liv tyler and gary oldman who dont have the recognition but certainly have the talent for Wheel of Time
Great! Didn't agree with the Forsaken ones so much, though Graedal and Lanfear were excellent. However, most of these were really good. Gonna look and see if you did the main characters.
Oh, how I hope they will never make it into a live action movie. It should be animated, seriously.
Anyway, Hugh Jackam could probably pull Logain off rather well, but if they do make it into a movie they probably won't give a guy like him such a small part. Besides, Juilin is supposed to be black, I think. Not very dark, but still.
Some interesting choices! Harrison Ford as Tam is wild & kind of great. Pretty certain Juilin Sandar is supposed to be black or at least somewhat dark-skinned, though, so that was jarring. Some of the actors are too recognizable; obviously it's a fan cast, not a real cast, and people can't really react to non-name actors, but if you actually got your wish for some of these, it would be seriously distracting to have that many famous people in these roles. Fun!

You're Logain 1:48 , Tam 'Al Thor and Juilin Sandar 3:27 are perfectly cast (especially Logain) they look a ton like what I've pictured. On the other hand, I hadn't pictured the Saldaeans and Sheinarans to be Asian (maybe the Sheinarans a little, the Saldaeans should all have long flowing moustaches!) but I did picture the Cairhienin to be like Asians (pale skin and short). Also I pictured Gareth Bryne to be older and more... manly. Padan Fain's nose isn't big enough and he isn't creepy enough.
again I don't think the Saldaens are asian, I think they look spanish, I love Meagan Fox as berelain good job!, Julian Sandar I think is supposed to be so tanned he is almost black, good job for elaida, one thing though, I'm pretty certain all the characters aren't supposed to be good looking, either way your very good at this
Edward Norton as Padan Fain. . . I was thinking more of Andy Serkis. Keke Palmer looks perfect for the part of Tuon, but by the time we get to casting for her, she will be a bit older. . .
far better than the main characters... I really like Jackman as Logain and Butler as Domon for example... but Berelain? Balwer? Uno? I thought Juilin was darker than that... and Padan Fain is nearly as disappointing as Rand... You can't make Ed Norton into Padan Fain. but at least he can act...

Your picks for Domon and Bashere stray from the images of them I created in my head, and Egeanin isn't supposed to be nearly as attractive as the woman you choose to play her. You definitely have some good ones though, Juilin is spot-on. And you've chosen Asian actors to play many of the Borderlander roles, perhaps that's not a bad idea. I don't think Edward Norton is creepy enough to play Padan Fain, maybe you should switch him with Steve Buscemi for that, haha. Cool music, too. Good job.
People always go to Angelina Jolie for Lanfear, but I don't think she's elegant enough. Jennifer Connelly should play Lanfear, not Elaida (who's described as "handsome".)
Berelain should be played by Eva Green. (Or she could Lanfear if J.C. gets too old.)
@ddunniii Very well-made point. Elaida is only ever described as handsome, like you said. Angelina Jolie is an awful choice for Lanfear, she would work better as Melaine, or Alanna. I like your choice for Berelain as well. Whoever plays Berelain just needs to be extraordinarily attractive. How about Gemma Arterton? Eva Green's successor as a Bond girl. She looked damn good in Clash of the Titans.
EXCELLENT choice for Balwer. Not sure who that guy is for Dashiva but good choice. As for Gareth Bryne choice..I would go lil older...someone that is obviously older and wiser looking yet still tough...can't think of anyone atm.
I like Ford for Tam al'Thor but I agree that Tommy Lee Jones may be better.
Thanks. Bill Moseley was the lead character with the long scraggly hair in Rob Zombies' a House of a 1000 Corpses and Devils Rejects. Yeah, but if you put a beard on Clive, maybe accent the grey he already has, I honestly couldn't see anyone else pull off the air of authority and demeanor of Gareth Bryne.
I actually see Tommy Lee Jones as a Haral Luhhan, maybe. Hmmm..
Oh that was him! Cool. I am trying to work on my own cast as well, seeing if I can perfect a list even though no blockbuster movie would ever use SO many huge stars that most people are tyring to cast on these youtube videos, but its still fun to get the opinions ;p
As for Clive, I could see him pulling that off well, he does have that aurhtority and demeanor...movie magic ftw!
Awesome! Let me know when its up. I would love to see it. Haha.. I know exactly what u mean. Doing a Wheel of Time movie justice, w/ what Im sure is a VERY limited budget on not only the size, but the scope, of such a huge projects going to leave them very limited on the budget for actors. Let alone the sets.. I truly feel for the producers, but they have plenty to go off of, so they better get it right.
Far as Im concerned, getting the story out to an audience thru film is the best thing they can do. Not only will it be seen by the many WoT fans following it, but will bring in a whole new branch of fans that never read the books. Thats more than worth the cost of producing this epic as far as I'm concerned. Besides, with Jason Denzel and the WoT team, Ive full confidence in the project. Thats a lot of enlightening reference tools to have at ur disposal. Get it wrong, its ur fault. IMHO.. LOL
HAHA. So they are actually working on something then?! Wow I must not be in the loop! As far as the actors go for a real movie, I would honestly suggest only using a few well known actors (Rachel Leigh Cook for Min and Sam Elliot for Tom Merrilin HAVE to be in there imo), then using new people for most of the rest...because those actors will be cheaper and there would be SO many to choose from. Having 1 or 2 more famous actors are a must so people will want to see the movie too.
@KilledKillaB i think russell crow is the obvious choice for bryne. he just looks like him already. tommy lee jones could play abell cauthon. him adn ford together! yes.
I can see that too. I definately LOVE the choice, because Alba does look like that seductive Domani like Leanne is, but lil young...maybe the movie magic could help but nobody would want that since it is Jessica Alba.
Thanks for the comments. I see what you mean, but they would only need makeup/cgi for a pre-stilled Alba as Leane. Post-stilling, I think she is perfectly the image I have of Leane. Just MHO, but I see what you mean.
Totally agree with you there.. If anyone but Lanfear could seduce a man, it would be a Domani, and Alba fits that stereotype to a tee, and then some. LOL.. Sorry, like most guys, she is the epitomy of beauty, confidence, and pure sex appeal. LOL..
wow, most of these picks were great... this would be the most expensive cast for a movie ever tho haha, I liked your choice for padan fain too

love what you did here, even better than for the main characters (and i love that too)
I can't say whom i like better in the given roles, I would even turn a blind eye to my high disliking of Harrison Ford :D
Logain, Berelain, Balwer, Elyas... perfect choices
