From what I've read, the filming was a nightmare and impacted his marriage: 18-25 hours for a 30 minute show so they couldn't really work on other shows; sets were really hot and hazardous because of the set traps to move ALF; Max Wright also played second fiddle to a puppet, who got the best lines and the long hours were apparently a strain on his marriage. There's a site that has this information, I'll see if I can find it and I'll PM the link to you.
Thanks so much for uploading ALF. I have been so happy watching your videos of ALF with my youngest son. We watched the original run years ago with our much older boys. The humour never dates, it is still just as entertaining.
Why did max Wright hated the whole alf thing in the end..?

Maybe this should have been said:
Willy: You...You speak English.
Alf: I only speak one language, Melmacian. But by an amazing coincidence, both languages are exactly the same.

That definitely sounds like something ALF would've said; especially in his usual sarcastic manner.

Isn't that what he said in the movie?

You got me. I never saw the movie.

That's the same thing that Kang and Kodos said in the first Treehouse of Horror episode.

True, I admit that's where I got the idea from, but it stills seems like something Alf would say.

Willy: I'm not sure I can fix your spaceship. I mean not tonight, n-not in the dark.
Alf: Yeah, you could use a light in that driveway.
Willy: You know, I've been meaning to put one out there. But, you know how it is, you get busy with one thing and another...
Kate: Willy!
Willy: I'm sorry, it just seemed so human.
Alf: Hey, there's no need for name calling.
LOL
