years ago i called on one of these trucks ,it was in the auto trader in ocala for $1500 ,was that your father ,the person was very informitive ,told me the movie was filmed right there in ocala ,and even knew where the old chuch was ,great video
Cool! We used Kiwi Karriers and they are the best shippers. Couldn't have asked for nicer people and the co is family owned and operated. They probably dispatch many trucking companies. The truck became a celebrity with them.

Nope, doesn't run, or look like it has for 50yrs. I have a few rust issues to take care of, then re-apply "rust". I will fit it with V8 auto, maybe disc and PS, but completely origianl looking to the movie. It is really sweet how the effects co did the box. Good craftsmanship and excellent aging. Inside the box is all nice and newish looking.
Was this right off of SR40 on a dirt road... Between 140th ave and duffys? I live in that area and saw a truck JUST like that sitting in front of someones house and always wondered if it was rly it.
Being on the other side of the country, I'm not certain, but that sounds just about right. Mapquest says it was...say.. a mile west of 140th, and just S of hwy 40. Maybe previous owner will reply also.
Oh and does the horn of the truck actually sound like it does in the movie? :)

I remember them filming this movie in Central Florida. Some of it was filmed at the Disney/MGM now Disney Hollywood Studios in Orlando.
