I agree with Nestor1195. There are very high tensions and both nations use and they use propaganda to make the civilians hate the other nation. Few people actually realise this. Russia and Communism aren't bad at all. America and Democracy aren't either. It's the nations own struggle to make each other seem bad. America doesn't say that the United Kingdom is bad, we said that they're good. Russia probably says that it's satellite nations are good.

Russia can still win wars, of course, but it's going to take a long time before the Russian army is even one quarter as feared or efficient as the Red Army was in its hayday.

Too bad this game was scrapped in the merger, along with many others. But who knows, the game is shelved, maybe it will be released later on. Activision still owns the rights, so it will probably be released eventually (original World in Conflict was a success) but I probably will not see this game on the shelves until 2009, maybe even early 2010.
