it makes me sad that all people can do when they see a video, created by a seventh grader, a twelve year old kid, to raise awareness of terrible things that happened to a group of children, is argue. If you don't think she did it 'right', then go do it better yourself. But because of this video, suburban American middle school students (like myself at the time this video was created) were able to see and know for themselves what human cruelty can cause.
Very touching, great job for seventh graders. Thanks for sharing the story even if a few of the facts aren't accurate. Hope you got an "A." Visit the "Alliance for the Lost Boys of Sudan" site for more info and for ways to help the Lost Boys & S. Sudanese people. some photos seen in this video of people helping the Lost Boys were taken from the Alliance site (without permission or notation). Also, read "The Journey of the Lost Boys" for more information about the story of the Lost Boys.
Sudan is not safe and the conflict and humanitarian situation there is still dire. Sudan needs help from the international community. They deserve all the assistance the world has to offer. Responsibility for the injustices commuted against the people in Sudan are shard by all the people of the developed world who have sat by and allowed it to happen and done nothing of significance to stop them. This is especially true of China, but all who support China as well. Sudan is not safe.
They are not lost, you just want to make the Sudan looks bad, how about the million of lost Palestenians, and how about the killing in Gaza now. Stop the new NAZIS, Stop Jewish terror.
Hiati need the help. Those politicain inside and outside Sudan are making movies and creating issue to earn money. Please don't follow them. African need to stand for themselves, like what happened in South Africa and so on. Dependin on charity like beggers and uselelss human
I work with Sudanese people that ARE the former Lost Boys themselves. They are not politicians, nor are they doing work to benefit themselves. They work as non-profit groups to benefit people in Sudan and to educate people of the world about their story. It is precisely that which you talk about, Africans standing up for themselves. They are most certainly not beggars nor are they useless human beings.
Of course Haiti needs help, and they have for a long time-way before the earthquake-and they will for a long time to come. This is in no way a competition. Caring about Human Rights means that you care about ALL people; not just certain ones.Sudan is still in desperate need of help from the international community & for good reasons, staring with the fact that the reason the situation there is so dire is because of outside countries going into Sudan & causing the problems in the 1st place.
alexrademacher: This film was made by a 7th grade social studies class, not Sudanese politicians. Get your facts straight before you start shooting off your mouth. You clearly do not understand the situation or the scope of the problems in Sudan or Africa in general. Educate yourself! There is plenty of information on the web for you to do so!!!
Please don't be too smart. I am very well educated. I have lived in Sudan for 15 years. Those whom you worked for are economical refugees. If you are trying to make a living or build your personality by working what what call lost boys. You are lost. Africa has got their African to protect and fight for. You are spoiling the mind of 7 grader. Encourage them to support and make a movie about Katrina and Haiti. Have you seen a movie about Katrina? Ha ha give me a break man. You are one of those
There is peace in Sudan now. Those who cares about human pleaase make a movie about the Genocide and horrible Massacre committed by the Zionists in Israel against the women and children in Gaza. Please make a movie for us
@alexrademacher There isn't peace in the Sudan yet. There is still a lot of conflict and death...Ever heard of Darfur and the genocide still going on there?
If you want a movie made, make it yourself. This is a world of people that do things and people that don't. Stop complaining and DO something yourself. This is not a competition on who is a better humanitarian or who is suffering more. There are many many films about Gaza and Israel anyway...
That was touching and brought tears from my eyes. The video was made perfectly. Job well done.

There is not a competition on suffering or injustice in this world. Put your actions where your words are.
