  • very honest and accurate review! experienced the exact problems that you're talking about.

  • NOOOOOO! I LOVE the "AAAAA's"... haha seriously they give u personality. its grown on me man dont change it! ha

  • you look like "Darth Vader" with that headgear! LOL

  • That's ridiculously big. And you've just increased the target area by about double I'd say. Get the Everlast SafeMax, it's much more streamlined and although not as well padded I guarantee you'll get hit less.

  • братишка а как можно заказать такой шлем в россию?!

  • I picked up the winning gear and it's extremly comfy. I have some eye damage so i needed some full face gear and it works well. The only drawback i've encountered while sparring is its a little more difficult to see uppercuts coming when your on the inside because of the bar.

  • What is better? this one or the Winning one?

  • @modmyride this one blows

  • i have a big head, like extra large regular, should I be grand to buy this? have to order it online? thanks for any responses

  • @crosdad

I bought this headgear a week ago and i sparred twice with it and i must say i love it. I have not encountered any problem with it moving around when i get hit. But like you i have a rather large head. I actually had to loosen it a little bit cause it didn't fit at first.

I say go for it, The everlast safemax is similar to this as well but it doesn't have as much padding.

  • @MrObliviousX

Much appreciated man, going to order one later

  • bigger head gear, easier target.... all darth vaders step forward!!! big doesnt mean more protection, type of foam does and the quality of your head movement....

  • @kingovkingz LOL, a some few months ago i almost bought this stupid headgear. god thing i found this review. so what i did was save up my birthday money and lunch money. then i went from almost buying this atrocity to buying the winning fg5000! HA HA. i have no regrets. fg5000 is the best, best, BEST sparring headgear, no doubt. smart choice. it took 2 months to save up that money too!

  • @brandeezy108 lucky you did, the safemax is better than the facesaver but im a HW boxer who hits hard, i need Gloves with A+ stitching and headgear that can stand up to heavyweight punches, i have used every brand name. Winning and Reyes are the best and the only gear i use.... i know your money was well spent. Congrats on the buy.

  • @kingovkingz thanks dude. i love my fg500! now all i need is an open face one too.

  • @brandeezy108 i meant fg5000

  • i can't picture anybody boxing with that headgear! :P

  • @brandeezy108

Most top Pro boxers use this exact headgear, Manny Pacquiao, for example, does.

  • @axel151 no, he uses the winning fg 5000 headgear, which i bought because i saved up my money. look it up it's great! it's just expensive. but expensive things aren't a problem if your patient it took me 2 to 3 months tho save up for the fg5000 and i have no regrets. the fg 5000 is the best headgear around. again just look it up.

  • @brandeezy108

My bad, but my point is that Manny uses the 'face saver' design.

  • @axel151 i guess ur right.

  • useful review thanks!

  • so basically this headgear sucks dick huh? It looks like a fuckin vader helmet from just the thumbnail. Everlast sucks ass

  • @jakovasourman1212 i heard the safemax facebar one from everlast is pretty good quality. he did a review of it recently. but anyway, i have the fg5000 winning headgear so i would suggest trying to save up ur cash. because winning is the freaking best!

  • i didn't quite make out what you said about the ones that just came out that isn't one size fit all. Who makes the ones that just came out?

  • looks absolutely huge on you

  • what about the other everlast facesaver type headgear: the everlast safe max

this one looks a lot like the winning, i'm sure it doesn't feel the same, but the overall design looks much similar.

  • hahah the chin strap was still on and he took the headgear off just like that. yeah thats definitely not something you want to use during sparring. maybe somebody with a bigger head would not have these issues though

but everlast is terrible either way, i wouldnt but anything they produce. if you are a beginner and you want to see if boxing is your thing you can get their gloves or whatever for 20 bucks or so, but if you are serious about boxing you gotta upgrade to something else

  • @Makaveli25x

everlast used to be good back in the day. than they sold out and went the cheap route. alot old timers like everlast.

  • Aaaaaaaaaaa i don't like that headgear at all, way too chunky and bottom unstable

    :D

    good honest review though

  • looks terrible! and HUGE!!

Not a big fan of any everlast gear to be honest

  • @pooczar Me too actually. Everlast are garbage. They are not bad gear but the material quality is really poor.

  • @atronix thats true at some point, the 20 dollar stuff is crap, anything good by them is over priced. I bought a pair of protex gloves for 50 bucks and oh boy was i disappointed. so yea, i agree with partially.

  • dude, saying uh is like your trademark!

    your reviews are the bomb

  • good review. yeah those habbits are my problem to lol saying like a lot and uhhhh too heh but atleast you know to work on it heh. havent seen a new vid in a while from you and was glad to see you got one up wit lemarr one and this one. it took me a million takes to make my last vid if you're interested in checkin it out on my chann. keep up the reviews man you seem to be the only one that has a wide variety.
