  • To access the task manager:

Double click recycle bin > my computer (left hand side) > C: > search for files and folders > search for "system32" > go into the folder and find "taskmgr" > copy it onto the desktop and rename it "iexplorer" > double click on "iexplorer" and you will access the task manager. (help from theindianguy and brettsmith)

  • OMG this works, thank you so much! and people I warn you don't install more programs to get rid of this virus because it might be another virus!

  • This video was a real help...Just removing the .ext from Registry worked for me...

  • I have a friend who has this same virus and it appears his task manager has been disabled. Says so when he uses ctrl alt del, and it is greyed out using the above mentioend method from the video. Does anyone have a solution for this.

  • If all you see is the recycle bin, click on it. and then go to program files and then in program files search for System32. Click on that folder, then search for taskmgr (like the video says), copy it to the desktop and rename it. thats how i did it

  • i already deleted system check program befor i looked at its properties & im stuck... what now???

  • A solution for users with XP Pro SO:

-Copy windows/system32/cmd.exe from another pc to an USB memory

-Insert the USB memory in the infected pc

-Press the Windows key + "E" key at the same time for open "My PC" window

-Go to USB unit and execute cmd.exe

-Type cd \windows\system32\restore and press "Enter"

-Type attrib -h *.* and press "Enter"

-Type rstrui.exe and press "Enter". The Restore System Window is opened.

    -Select a restore point.

It works for me. Excuse my bad english.

  • @Ulises53

Worked for me! I tried a few other tips before this one, and this one did the trick! Note: I have Windows Vista Home.

    Thanks a ton, buddy! :)

  • @MothArets I'm so glad... :)

  • @Ulises53

    Cream - I'm so glad

I song that surely makes you happy! :)

  • this is one hell of a virus. tried to follow the steps but doesnt seem to work. everytime ive done this (both in safe and normal mode) the virus keeps reapairing. had to literally put everything on an external hard drive in fear that it will delete all my files. any advice out there please????? may have to chuck out my laptop at this rate!!!If i ever meet the person who created this Im gonna put their head through a wall.

  • @besucool probably the same people who sell you anti-virus software. Bunch of crooks.

  • -Now simply check SOWALL in local_machine/microsoft/windows/current version/explore/advance/hidden (or similar, don't remember precisely) and put checkedvalue to 1

-Do a manual hidden option uncheck to files you want to show

  • Soveld this shit today at work in the main office pc: it has taken all the morning and at the end here my solution:

(sorry for my english, i'm italian)

-Use one the fewest good thing of windows, restore.exe ENTER safe mode, find restore.exe in your windows/system32/restore/ folder. Use it to backup.

-Hopefully you should manage to get rid of the spyware (but I've also removed manually from the registry some shit) google it for files name

  • WOW i just got my pc back from the store because of this virus. Should have looked this up.

  • This fucking virus deleted everything off my pc. Unbelievable

  • @uglycorny9 this virus doesnt delete anything. all your files are there but hidden. u'll need to remove the malware in safe mode and unhide them

  • If task manager is disabled. Copy taskmgr.exe from the system32 folder to your desktop and rename it iexplorer.exe. It should open after that.

  • This infection often disables the task manager, so that fix might likely fail most users. It also disables windows updates, deletes the hosts file, and even hides files. When you were editing the registry, it would have been nice to know the key in which the infection resides.

  • thank you

  • oh yeah task manager works just fucking perfect. ass hole.

  • I did the same thing but with malware (if that's how u spell it ) but thank uu !!!

  • THAAAAAAAAAANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. I did this in safe mode if this helps anyone.

  • @taklg8 how do you do it in safe mode, i need help

  • btw, thank you for your help

  • i have window vista and tried opening run and typed all regedit, taskmgr.exe and stuff it works but the actual " window" won't pop up. i bought norton internet security program and hope it helps my computer. computer runs okay so far it's just "system check" window keep popping up...

  • i can't find task manager, seems like it's disappeared although i went to "control panel" and did all show hidden files and etc.. i'm screwed..your video is too fast, can you type it in your links? i went to your blog website but way too confused..

  • @colorchalk the virus blocks your task manager, search for google how to manually close the process with command line. that's what i did just a hour ago when I got infected. plus I used trojan killer software to locate virus files and bad registry entires, removed and fixed them manually. and last i downloaded combofix.exe which got rid of the rest of the virus and set my folders and files visible again

  • @colorchalk if you are on windows 7, open command line (cmd). type in 'tasklist' find the exe which has random letters/numbers that make no sense from the list and type 'taskkill /F /IM [exe name here] /T'

  • @colorchalk Did you ever find out how to get rid of this? I tried, and got frustrated. I just ended up doing a system restore cause I was so pissed. If you know how to get rid of it, just incase for the future, please let me know. Thanks

  • @colorchalk same.. i'm so worried that this virus that's currently in my computer won't delete my files ):

  • this is my first srs malware/virus in like 2 years :( cunts

  • I Want In HD Man!!

  • nice
