  • I have an confederate flag, and I'm BLACK!

  • @Crazayblasiangirl Wow, now that's sad.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia yeah it would be IF I was telling the truth hehehehe

  • All Black American Indians are the True Hebrew Israelites or the True Jews according to scripture. The names Black, Negro, Native American Indian, Puerto Rican, African American, West Indie, etc, are examples of the bywords outlined in Deuteronomy 28:37. Do your own research

  • Great Video. Thanks for Sharing.

  • @Tarotscopebytina Thanks! I hope it was informative more than venting.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia

:-)! I found it very informative. Keep doing it! This history is very important and needs to be told!

  • so ur Indian, black , and native american ?

  • @p4ndiamond West African and Indigenous American descendant.

  • Cool , I am Black, but I am also White and Indian

When I told someone that I am also indian , that person told me that I look black :( that offended me, but I don't care what people say, I am who I am

  • @prettyyoungthing90 Some people think I look Black, but that does not bother me because I am Black too. Some people think I look hispanic, some think I look West Indian, some people think I look East Coast Native American. Celebrate your uniqueness :-)

  • @BlackAmericanIndia :) I will

  • u look black to me

  • @845763lola Ok

  • @845763lola That does not excuse the fact that her DNA is of Native Ancestry. Because of the way she looks is she supposed to deny one side....???

  • R U askin me my opinion or R U seriously curious?

  • @delkapone I am seriously curious.

  • It used to be just my tribe but as I made friendz with other Indianz who call themselvez Nativez now, there iz a huge similiarity with all Tribez!

  • @delkapone okay, like what?

  • Lol! I hope u dont have the idea that I am not proud of myself? I have great self esteem. I just am from an area where no Bullshit iz tolerated so speakin wuteverz on your mind iz common. Ive learned how to conduct myself a lil better than tha average Indian. But Im disgusted with my own people.

  • I am Warm Springs Indian from Warm Springs Oregon. I am full blooded and just moved away to a city 6 hourz away from my homeland. My parentz and sibling and my entire Family still live there. Im sure there are positive thangz buy itz hard to think of any.

  • @delkapone Well, it is something to be proud of to have a connection with your people regardless how far you've traveled.

  • Not really! Sorry, I have no "we r tha world" storiez!

  • @delkapone Oh, okay. Do you still live on a reservation? What is the name of it?

  • Tha impoverish mentality on rezervationz iz very common amongst a majority of tha peepz! Seriously! Even tha so called leaderz have their issuez and represent tha gutter mentality!

  • @delkapone Dude, I did not grow up in an urban city, but rural/poverty line country. However, there are some good things going on besides drugs, crime, etc. Seriously, you do not have any positive experiences to share?

  • IDK why my phone keepz cuttin off my commentz but I meant similiar to a ghetto in a any city. But Nativez get free $ and tha struggle is still tha same wit Alcoholizm and drug a use!

  • There iznt really a lot of positivity on my Rezervation! No bullshit! Tha Rez iz very si

  • @delkapone very what? what did you mean by si?

  • I would love to! But Im watchin this Miami Heat game and Im all in to it as if Im on tha court ya know? But Im online alwayz or iI have this app on my iPhone so I will share after tha game (if Miami winz I'll be totally pozitive!) lol

  • @delkapone No rush. Hubbie does not like Miami at all :-) But I do understand how intense the Final Games can be.

  • I am apologizing to you! I do not know you or enough about you to offend you. I spoke my mind and my opinion on your post. I do apoligize and I wish tha best of you in tha future! Fuck all that confederate flag bullshit!! I see a new level of racism in a new city! Best wishez to you!

  • @delkapone Oh, apology accepted. Would you like to share some positive experiences within your community?

  • Anything I said shouldnt of made U feel pissed off or hurt! I wuz raized on tha Rez and tha old "stickz and stonez" expression wuz taught. But I apologize! Sincerely...

  • @delkapone Who are you apologizing to?

  • I apoligize!!!!

  • delkapone 1 month ago <----- look what you did , you pissed off an native person. .way to go :(

  • yea i got the hint....loud and clear.

  • Who tha Fuck would want to be Indian that isnt enrolled or physically stereotyped an Indian? I mean Native American as in Indian. Born and Raised on a Rez and been to all kindz of different Rez'. There is No reason to try and be proud of bein part Indian unless your tryna get a check or some kinda benefit that Indianz get. Other than that, Indianz are Fucken pathetic! theyre stuck in disfunction and still spoon fed killin themselvez, I am a full blooded Indian and I know tha dynamicz of Indianz

  • are you asian indian or native indian. srry. im confused

  • @jabaalbertwokeez Native American/Indigenous American

  • @BlackAmericanIndia INDIGENOUS AMERICAN????....THE NATIVE SAY ANY ONE WITH 1% AFRICAN BLOOD IS NOT NATIVE...AMERICAN????...THEY WANTED TO TELL YOU ARE NOT WELCOME....WHAT ABOUT YOU GOING TO AFRICA

BLACK AMERICAN ALWAYS RUN FROM THEY KIND..I DONT GET IT

    YOU ARE GOD

  • Sad that any real Native Americans would define themselves with Confederate flags

If u've ever been to a pow wow u will know that u will see dancers from Black to white and every color in between, the pow wow is not a spiritual event but a Money making event. It's sad that the native people are becoming such Mongrels,i give thanks to the one's that follow the right path and teach their children the proper path, sadly it seems that were all going to swim in the great melting pot.

  • Sad that any real Native Americans would define themselves with Confederate flags

  • So you have have native ancestry four generations removed, Do you share the culture your native brethren and sistren? Can you go to a reservation in the southwest of the U.S n be embraced?

  • @Sumthin2Say21 My ancestors were not from the Southwest but the Southeast. I do not have any desire to "connect" or be "embraced" by them. In addition, my native ancestry are not four generations removed.

  • @americanpatriot00 - your assuming so much when you label people as "Black", "Native American", "White" etc. Do you have the final say on what "race" any one person is? I think you've been told (by people lighter that yourself) how to label everyone and your too lazy to really learn where peoples' ancestors have been. Stop over-simplifying humans. African means "from Africa" its not a "race". Study human history and learn that the only people that deserve to be called "Black" are Adam & Eve.

  • Funny how you NEVER EVER,EVER see Native Americans posting video clips narrating and claiming "black" kinfolks and relatives. It's always blacks desperate to broadcast to anybody within earshot that they aren't really full blooded black. Sad, sad.

  • @americanpatriot00 Being Black is a given. We do not have to show any "proof" that we carry Black Blood. However, many of our stories does not end with Africa. Again, I will acknowledge my genetic make-up, not just being BLACK. I will not pick and choose which community I will belong to. The "One-Drop Rule" crap is that...crap.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia - The one drop rule may be crap, but again, I find it embarrassing that not one of these many videos posted on Youtube was done so by a Native American. None are narrated by a Native American talking about their black heritage. You don't even see videos of other bi-racial, or tri-racial people saying they hate it when people view them as just white. It's only black people who want the whole world to know that they aren't really all black.

  • @americanpatriot00 I really don't care if others do not want to talk about their other ancestors that MAY HAVE BEEN Black. They can identify however they want. Again, I don't care how the world views me and other mixed folks. We are different, we have blended identities. PERIOD.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia, LOL!

That's great, but the truth of the matter is that if every "African American" took a DNA Geneology Test, they would discover that they have an admixture of caucasion in their bloodlines, and about 1 in every 20 from the same group have less than 1% Native American Bloodlines (excluding those who have a Native American Parent). Bi-racial folks like me (White Father/Black Mother) simply have more mixed blood than blacks like you.

  • @americanpatriot00 Congrats!

  • @americanpatriot00 where do you get the dn geneology test?

  • @Lacubanitamasbonita - That's a good question, because I'm not sure. I believe you can order it online, or maybe you'll have to find a geneologist who can order and do the test for you. I heard the test kit alone can be between $250 - $400.

  • @americanpatriot00 Check out videos done by Mexicans. Apparently, there are groups that promote their black ancestry even though they do not look like a "typical" black/mixed black person.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia - I could care less about videos done by Mexicans (Native Americans/European Spaniard mix). My comments were all in regards to Native Americans making videos claiming Black Ancestry.

  • @americanpatriot00 So, are you saying that Indigenous American mixed populations outside of the US don't count? Or just Indigenous Mexicans? LOL funny

  • @americanpatriot00 i hear ya i guess its cus some people have a little hatred towards their black half cus ever black person is always saying their mixed with native american ,white or whatever...and its always black people...but you would never see a white or native american or whoever always saying or claiming their black heritage...if your parents and half native american i can see but most people black are claiming all these other ethnicities from their great great grandparents..or further

  • @mddarch2 I understand your point as well. Take Care.

  • @mddarch2 - Yeah! and while some blacks are busy telling the whole world they aren't really black, hears what's going on in the audience, 90% don't care and 99.99% still view them as black regardless of what they say they're mixed with.

    .

This attitude goes all the way back during JIM CROW America, bi-racial blacks had to drink from the same water fountain as ALL THE OTHER BLACKS. We couldn't drink from both.

  • @americanpatriot00 I don't care how the world view me and other mixed folks. We are different, we have blended identities. PERIOD.

  • @mddarch2 Some MAY have hatred of their black ancestry, but I do not. And many of my supporters are proud of their AFRICAN AND NATIVE AMERICAN ancestry. We CHOOSE to acknowledge our make-up NOT JUST certain percentages. You choose only black....you do you.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia what??? i only said that a lot of people who have a majority of black blood in them and only a little native american blood or white blood in them usually have a little hatred or shame of their black part in a sense! my mother(a black american) tells me that her mother (my grandmother) that her father(my great grand father) was native american some white looking dude...but my father is nigerian....so i claim black only! if you got mixed heritage in you family thats fine

  • @BlackAmericanIndia you can claim your mixed ancestry all i was saying is that most people who have more black blood in them usually are ashamed of it and try to clam their other halves because it looks better to them...and i know that how a lot of black mericans feel...but i dont!

  • @mddarch2 ok

  • you are not educated in the matter of the civil war at all would u give up ur car cause its wrong no u wouldent so its a very similar idea they didnt want to give up there way of life i do agree it was wrong but that flag does not represent racisim

  • @cxkozel WOW! Their "way of life" was slavery which stems from racisim.

  • About how many Black AMERICANS really do have Native American blood? Almost all of them. There are very few Black Americans that do not have Native American, White and African American blood in them. I have always believed that African Americans are Africans that have come to America and has obtained their American citizenship and almost all of Balck Americans are all mixed with something.......It's true. That's why we are people of color. Look a the shades of our skin and grades of hair.

  • @baltimorecity1 Interesting comment. "...African Americans are Africans that have come to America and has obtained their American citizenship...." Thank you for your comment.

  • I'm black , alil white and native american..

It's qood to learn about your ancestry..

Though you have to explain it to people.

    (:

  • @ThePrincessNita Your lucky, if you didn't have to explain your ancestry to people, they would just assume what they've been told by someone else. And that someone else is usually profiting from what they say.

  • There is a pow wow that takes place on long island in the Hamptons ! It's really fun and friendly

  • @Dafabulousm0niqu3 Great! Thanks for sharing. I hear great things about that Pow Wow as well.

  • It's hilarious to hear some black people claiming to be part Cherokee/Indian/Native American because of their hair. lol! XD

I am not half Indian, but my mom, her father, and his relatives last name is "Futch" (Indian surname). I have Indian relatives on that side of the family. I never met them.

Great video! & you look Native American to me:)

  • @prettyyoungthing90 Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.

  • wow, pow wows are intertribal and open to the public, so these flags you may have seen dont really reflect the views of a tribe, i agree that would have turned my stomach as well, but by leaving you just deny yourself of a great time, i see things at my own pow wows that are upseting but turning your back only continues the process that we have lived through for so long. there are plenty of good pow wows in va... the nansemonds have 2 a year, theres another in va beach, the mattoponi, and more

  • I know I have native americans in my family but very rare to know i think there all dieing from old age but i continue to have it trough my blood even though im african american i still had family members that were really native

  • @cedric4090 Blood IS Thicker Than Water! :-) Thanks for sharing and keep your ancestry alive.

  • I don't know why there are "racist" people who are so quick to claim native decent? its strange to me...well for starters here in RI the Naragansett/ Wampanoag/ pequot pow wows are friendly they are in RI, and mass mostly but mass isn't at all far =].

  • @izzy52992 - I am mixed African and Native (American) and I think powwows in Mass-Conn are friendly. I see hundreds of people that look like family. In PA-NJ-DE-MD you have to be a bit more careful since we're closer to what was once the Mason-Dixon Line and fewer people realize/admit they have Native ancestry.

  • @philacentric Yes they are ! I mean how are gonna judge someone they don't know diddly about lmao.I myself am african american, native american and european and know this for a fact. Another thing people don't realize is during times of oppression for both blacks and natives alot of them banded together or were excepted into tribes... its just lack of proof. alot of whites had documentation about there family histories where as alot of natives and black did not. There are plenty ...

  • Hey I know what you mean. Im a black indian and I live in Virginia, and they are really not black indian friendly out here. So i've stopped going to the pow wows. Oh yeah Motoaka AKA Pocahontas is my distant Cousin(thought id tell you that)

  • @Sweet919abc123 Thanks for sharing.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia :) No problem. Checkout some of my videos(watch in 1080p HD)

  • Oklahoma has a large population of African American and Native American People

  • @skylademae I will try to make it out there in the future.

  • Furthermore my historical portraits, also come from my family albums or visiting my grand aunt (mixed Creek/Blackfoot/African). Sometimes it's hard to find censor records because some people didn't report and/or records was destroyed. Sometimes Natives put in "mulatto" if they were married to a "black" person because that was what they related to. Personally, I appreciate my Native history but I find my African history more fascinating...but to each his own.

  • @ohshittheresanative Yeah but your half white right not full blood native. I"m "black" of mixed ancestry and I get offended when native peoples of mixed ancestry question anyone that is "black" of there native ancestry. It is a very rare case of any "black" diaspora people who have been here before the civil war to be full blood African. Lumbee, some Seminole are examples of mixed tribes. Chief Osceola and John Horse were also mixed race natives.

  • Red/Black People coming Together ---- Africans settlement in the mist of Weyanoke Indians. location in Charles Town, VA. right outside of Richmond. Web site: Weyanoke.org I just talked to a member of the orginization 1-804-307-8807. You can find out a lot of information. Let me know how you made out in your findings.

  • @baltimorecity1 Thanks for sharing. I went to the Weyanoke gathering last year and met some great people. This summer, I was in school and unable to attend.

  • HI

My name is Jeana. I went to an American Indian Powwow on July 17, 2010 here in Baltiimore, MD Towson area. It was for two days. We have an American Indian Center here. The phone number is 410-675-3535. Another POWWOW is going to be in Marion Maryland by the Accohannock Tribe. For more information call 410-623-2660.they have an email address: accochannock@verizon.net Google: Accohannock Tribe, you will find a lot of information. They also have a POWWOW every year. Good Luck :-)

  • Most of the Powwows I've attended in the Northeast have been "Black Indian" friendly, though most people do not call themselves "Black Indian" (or "White Indian"). The unity factor is strongest when we lead with our Native "side". That is the ultimate (and universal) response to all of the problems we face today. Everyone...remember where you live and who God gave that land to. Make yourself worthy of living their home.

For clarity's sake, in a forum like this I DO use "Black Indian/Native".

  • @philacentric This is true.

  • Black People need to start taking pride in ones self. Not to the point of narcissism. But enough for a healthy self image. A piece of land like Egypt is never going to bring self worth. Only fear mongering, woes, and sorrows. Also absorbing every other ethnic and their history only makes us a laughing-stock. Be content in ones self and if people have issues with you being content. Shrug them off. I mean when I was in high school I was taught that natives were natives. Nothing more nothing less.

  • @RyGuy731 Many "Black" people do not love their heritage and/or heritages. As a Black Indian, I am proud of my African and Native American ancestry and will NEVER choose one over the other.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia I admire your pride in all of your ancestry. I tick the "Black/African American" box on job applications--because I grew tired of the inquisitions at the interviews after identifying otherwise--but I STILL don't get hired. I wonder: Why is it only here in the U.S.A. that a Black person is ridiculed for mentioning any Native American ancestry. And I'm talking about when we know it! In the Caribbean, Central America and South America, it's acceptable to speak of mixed ancestry.

  • @AngelOfTheNight2007 Great question. I would like to direct you to my current videos about Black In Latin America. Apparently, Black and Indigenous Latin American mixture is acknowledged.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia Many Black people are not you because your mix. I seen from Black mix people, they don't hang out with niggers who are 100% black. Because your mix, your different just a better person.

  • @X9Intelectual What???

  • @BlackAmericanIndia YOU ARE LIKE TIGER WOODS YOU JUST DONT GET IT!!!!!....THE CON-FLAG WAS A WAY OF SAYING YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!!!..GET IT

  • @RyGuy731 I only want to address the "laughing-stock" portion of your comment, and as I am an American, I only can discuss the cultural conditioning of Black/African Americans like myself. (That is, I am not descended from an African immigrant family but from African slavery and from European immigrants and Native Americans -- the majority, though, of the first two "branches" of my family tree.) I believe that if you're not embracing all the other [PLEASE READ ON, IN PART iI, ABOVE.]

  • @RyGuy731 cultures (i.e., cultures other than the one or ones you actively live and embrace in the country in which you live), then you could make a fool out of yourself showing up at, say, the St. Patrick's Day Parade in all green, shouting about how proud you are to be Irish. In the U.S.A., the White majority hasn't reached that level of enlightenment. On the flip side, a White American who has English, Irish, German and French ancestry is "permitted" [PLEASE READ PART III--LAST PART--ABOVE.]

  • @RyGuy731 socially and openly to embrace all of those cultures. He'll say, "I have French on my mom's side" or (and I've witnessed this) joke about how he drinks so much because "that's the Irish in me." Black Americans, though we have the freedom to claim verbally their different ancestral lines, are chastised for doing so. I am no more pure West African-blooded than I am pure Lumbee or than I am pure Irish. Yet it is my English surname that is a CONSTANT personal, psychic reminder of slavery.

  • @ohshittheresanative You look very Native American and black mixed, which is what you are. I do as well, and people ask me what Im mixed with all the time and my mother told me her family story and told me.

  • @MANDAWAH ohshittheresanative look like she is white and native. 90% of the people that I know that are 1/2 black and 1/2 native look more black. I only have like 2 aunts(out of 15 aunts and uncles) on my dads side that look straight up native. My dads side are all 1/2 native.

  • Nanticoke Indian PowWow is held every weekend after labor day. Its held in Millsboro, DE 19966. Its a traditional powwow with no competition and the mean spirits that unfortunately travel with that. This year its the 11th and 12th. I'm a jingle dancer and this is my home PowWow.

  • @nativehoney5 Thanks for sharing....I will need to check out that Pow WOW.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia

Naticoke is a great traditional Woodland Powwow! I attended for the first time last year and plan to return every year. Its set back in the woods and is pretty large but still intimate. Nativehoney5 I hope to meet you there.

  • Hi beautiful girl. You don't need to explain or apologize for your Native heritage. There are so many.....many of us mixed bloods. I am one in which my Native relatives are from the Carolinas and Virginia. That said, I will say I moved from the East Coast in 1987 to California. I DO NOT see or sense the same type of racial issues at the gatherings here in California. More later.

  • @Lochee1000 Sorry for the delayed response. Which parts of Carolina and Virginia? Thanks for your support.

  • @ohshittheresanative That's good that you do not have to "research" your family Native History. However, most of us Black Indians have to research or Native history because it was hidden from us. Most of us were raised in the Black Community. Currently, I need to get the DNA Test done for my personal records. No, I do not know my exact BQ but I am a Native American descendent AKA Black Indian.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia (Huhm....interesting that your name would have "sh----" in the middle of it. Is that a clear witness that that's what is inside your soul?

  • @BlackAmericanIndia I'm sorry....I hope my first post directed at "Ohsh---" does not confuse you or others. I do not feel that person is a good-hearted individual. For that person to question your racial heritage, BQ, family background, etc, let's us all see the degree of ignorance he/she has.

  • @ohshittheresanative That's funny that you mention I do not look "native". Check out historical portraits of "natives" and get back at me.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia To continue my thought, here in California there is a greater diversity of Native peoples. Some are actually California tribes while others are "transplanted"Natives who have lived here in California years. Anyway, the unique diversity of Natives here is why the gatherings are so special. Anyone who is honorable....respectful of elders, of Native traditions, and Native ways will be received. Prejudice, hate, and fear are among all humans. No one should stoop that low.

  • @BlackAmericanIndia Look up my facebook. I hate when people try to tell me what I am, even though I consider myself black, I know that I am part Native

  • i went to the bear mountain pow wow at harrington, new york a few years ago. the people were really friendly and the dancers were amazing.

  • @MusicOfTheSystem Sorry for the delayed response. Thank you.

  • I honestly don't believe that there was much miscegenation between blacks and Indians. You will always hear black people saying that there mixed with Indian but you'd rarely hear Indian people saying they're mixed with black. Hell, they probably despise blacks as much as whites do. However, I can't state this as a fact.

  • @Thedarksecret1 You have absolutely NO KNOWLEDGE about American history. You need to conduct extensive research to learn about Native and African people in colonial, post colonial, and later America. You should also do yourself a favor and learn about Manifest Destiny--the tool that the "pale faces" used to systematically destroy over 500 Native tribes. In short, don't speak if you don't have your facts.

  • @Lochee1000 It's better to conquer than to be conquered. Despite the atrocities that white people have committed I have to give them credit for dominating the world for the past 500 years. They conquered the world and everyone and everything in it. I'm sure that white people take delight in this knowing that they were conquerors but never the conquered (unless it was by another white nation). You speak as if white people are supposed to feel sorry for being so great.

  • I am also Black Indian and My Uncle is the chief of the Eastern Pequot tribe in New England Connecticut. It is a very friendly environment and we would love for you to come, :-)

  • @eveningbrightstar Sweet!!! Thanks for the invite.

  • I have been to some powwows in Saline Michigan that are pretty friendly, I haven't had any racist reactions at all haven't seen any flags like that! I wish you the best! I am African American, Blackfoot and Choctaw! Nice to know there are some black Native Americans!

  • @dmayhawk1 Thanks for sharing with me and others!!!

  • Heya, :) this is "remember me"? (Whattosayehh) How areyou?

I live in Canada (family in VA) and educate people here...Native and non about what it is like re Native well, what I can speak on re VA, etc. I educate that many people who are "Native" (using that word cause who can define??) "look" Black or "White".

Hugz! Keep up the spirit. :) email me anytime :)

  • @sycamoreheart Hi there, I think I remember you. How are you doing these days?

  • I just came across the following:

  • 1st Annual Mountain Eagle Place Intertribal Pow Wow

Location: 6325 Olivet Church Rd, Providence Forge, VA 23140

    Time: 10:00AM Saturday, July 24th

  • Go to the Shinnencock Powwow, Long Island, NY. African-Natice American or Black Indians, what ever the term we feel to use.

  • @xacuteorder66 I may have to try it out. I've only gone to Pow Wows in MD/DC/VA/NC.

  • OK..what s her point to this video? Oh Jews do not like Blacks did you know that? Im Cherokee/Comanche Indian and we have POW WOWs in Texas "Dallas and Livingston"

  • Sorry to hear that. Our Pow Wow's here are great and friendly.

  • Come up to the Shinnecock Pow Wow on Labor Day weekend in Southhampton, Long Island, NY.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the invite. This year I will be out of the country on Labor Day weekend but will plan for Labor Day 2011.

  • Most of the Conferderates that died in the civil war were Black and Native American, who knowingly and freely fought for the southern cause. Learn history before you hate on it. As for friendly Native American Powwows we have them in Millington Tn. from the Millington Indian Association.

  • Conferates supported slavery, regardless who fought for them.

  • Thats incorrect. Not all Conferates had slaves either. Most were too poor to have them.

  • 'm black& part native with indian ancestory in Virginia ,Thats really sad u had 2 endure that I dated an indian that was mohawk& he called me racial slurs when he had a drink or 2 but fortunately all indians aren't like this from wat i here in the michigan area they're very friendly and encourage other races 2 attend the pow wows I'll be attending my 1st one this year sometimes a few makes a majority look bad but I'm sure most indians arent racist and very welcoming respectful, proud people

  • Thank you for the encouragement.

  • youre hot

  • Thanks

  • Yes, there is racial confusion amongst Native Americans too. In Ohio there are some friendly POWOWS in Columbus, Chilicothe etc. Shawnee tend to be open and friendly people, one man I met invited me and refered to me as "sister", which pleasantly surprised me as he was very white looking. That was cool:-))) The Oklahoma National intertribal POWOW was very nice and the met great people on the way!!! Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks for sharing this great information.

  • I dont care for the Monocan at all. But I would not have left. I don't care what they wave. If we leave then they think that we are afraid. But to each his own. I have heard about how color struck the Monocan are. Most appear to be white with hardly any native traits. I am so sick of the racism that occurs at the events.

  • I understand what you are talking about but I pick my battles and I just did not have the energy to be there any longer.

  • I know how you feel. I guess Iam just an angry blk/red man...LOL :)

  • LOL...I guess I am an angry blk/red WOman....:-)

  • Preach it... LOL!

  • Now me I've grown up around Native Americans. Not onc have I experienced any hate or racism from any of them white, Black or fullblooded Native. So where is this racism coming from? I've never heard of it. Other then the freeman issue in Oklahoma most of those Indian are rich whites. Its a issolated thing.

  • "Confederate equals hate for black, Jew and non white people" - Knowledge FAIL

  • "Knowledge FAIL"? Oh really?

Many people who flant that flag hide behind some heritage crap. Southern Pride. Yea right!

  • Most of my friends who are white fly the Conferade flag. My bff who is half black and half cherokee AND a jew flies the Conferade flag. And they just got finished honoring some dead black Conferade soldiers families.

  • WOW!!! The things some people believe.
